Ugh. So I normally really like this comedian playing Hazel, Kristen Schaal (at least on her Daily Show segments), but this is the MOST annoying crepe that has been on this show maybe ever. I might not watch any more of her episodes. Her character provides no comedy; it's just frustrating.

The second episode casting of Billy Baldwin was funny.

that weird al episode was so great. maybe my favorite of the season. In my mind, Kristen Schaal can do no wrong. She's one of my favorite comedians.
I'm loving all this self-referential stuff! "i'm on a show within a show! my real name is tracey morgan!" and cynthia nixon's terrible accent! so great.

I thought Kristen Schaal's character was funny at first, but started to get old really fast. I really liked this last episode, but I wasn't a fan of the Hazel/Liz subplot.

Overall this season has been going downhill for me. It seems like it's more forced-- they've done most of what they can do with the characters and situations without actually breaking the premise of the show, so now they have to do weird contrived things to keep the show going. I still enjoy it, but I've seen enough TV to get that sinking feeling... Ideally they'll end it before it goes too far downhill.

Agree! Donald and Amy Poehler and sneaky Fred Armisen were highlights. So happy the east coast got Paul McCartney instead of Kim Kardashian!

i'm probably the only one who watched the final episode of 30 Rock. it was incredibly disappointing. i can't believe Tina Fey let some of those lines drop. like Alec Baldwin telling Liz, "i can't believe i'm arguing like this w/ a woman i'm not sleeping with!" i know it was supposed to be funny, but in actually it was just horribly sexist, annoying, and contrived. it's kinda sad to see a show that was once so great go out w/ such a flop.

Yeah, I just double checked. Last week was not the finale. Anyway, I'm still watching!

I feel like Alec Baldwin's character has always been an over the top business executive sexist. He loves women, even powerful women, but he has very strong opinions about how they should look and behave. It's funny because you laugh at him for how eye-roll-worthy his sexist ideas are, not because you agree.

^^ i just thought Liz Lemon would've had a better response than somewhat complying with his crazy little rant. the scene in the bed was funny and had some good slapstick stuff and i liked it that they recapped some of their experiences together and asked the question that was the elephant in the room, "why did we never hook up?" but what happened after just lacked the nuance that i expect their dialogue to have and was just really frustrating to listen to. maybe it's just me.
re: two more episodes. i totally watched it at 2am or something after painting my bathroom all night, so i was probably confused. still, i really hope the show doesn't end on such a sour note.

the latest episode had me in tears at the end. i'm so sad that it's ending next week, but it's really nice to see a weird little comedy go out after a pretty long run on its own terms.
