I even took a nap so that I can stay up super late to watch. Because 11 pm is super late to my boring asparagus.

Yeah...I feel kind of bad for saying this...but I was generally underwhelmed.

I definitely think it's good that this is the last year. But there are some interesting places it can go now that Gus is dead.

Best!

+1 yummy!

I thought it was a good start to the season. BB has always been a slow burn kind of show.

I just watched an old Malcolm in the middle episode to see how different the dad character is in Breaking Bad, and it's insane. Walt is beginning to scare even me. I wonder what's going to happen between his marriage. Any guesses as to what will happen by the end of final final season? I feel like he might end up killing Jesse just because it seems like he's started this whole process of eliminating absolutely everything that is getting in the way of him and his family or tying him to crimes. Any thoughts on this?

He won't kill Jesse, that was made clear in the last episode, in my opinion. Him and Jesse look out for each other even when they're pissed.
I do think he's going to leave a trail of bodies behind him by the end of this season though.

I don't know about that. It seems to me that Walt only cares about Jesse when it's convenient. He needs Jesse's help to start cooking again, so he's reeling him back in. Walt doesn't give a shiitake about anyone but himself.

So I finished season four in 3 days (summer Steam sale + Breaking Bad = entertainment coma for a full eight hours), and then I was trying to explain the end scene with Gustav to Brian and how AWESOME it was. Because he walks out and you're like, "Oh, bullshiitake, he did not survive an explosion unscratched!" And then they pan around and it's like "lol, j/k, he's Two Face!"

g1, Breaking Bad.

We just buzzed through season 4 in about a week, and I don't think I took a full breath through the last three episodes. The final scene with Gus at Casa Tranqulia was full of awesome. I would have stood up and cheered had I not had a fat cat on my lap at the time.

I just remembered the best scene in Sunday's episode: Mike playing Hungry Hungry Hippos.

Emmy nominations were announced last week, and nearly everyone in the cast is nominated: Cranston, Aaron Paul, Giancarlo Esposito, Anna Gunn (finally!!) and the dude who plays Hector Salamanca.

I miss Gus. I know he had to die, but he was such a great villain, and the show is just not the same without him.

I think the series might well end with her killing him.
