This episode seemed all about fan service and meta moments.
-We always love seeing Mike be a badass. As a "Wiseguy" fan, I particularly appreciated the trademark Jonathan Banks eye roll. -I bet Skyler and Walt's bickering over the script wouldn't be unheard of in a meeting between an actor and a showrunner. ("I would never use that word.") -Skyler's "I'm just the bisque..." rant was a great response to the Anna Gunn haters on the internet. And right or wrong, that whole conversation spelled out a lot of previously subtle points for the dummies who didn't get it the first time, such as what it says about Walt that he wouldn't take Elliot's money. -Gale's karaoke, natch. -I think folks predicted from the beginning that, at some point, Hank would get a consult from Walt about the Heisenberg case. -Actually, a few points of the story - bullet points, if you will? - felt like ideas that might have been floating around for a while, whether online or in the writers' room. What if someone stole Jesse's cash? Why doesn't Walt just take his money and disappear? After a couple of episodes that took the scenic route, this felt like an attempt to power through to what will end up being the big story arcs for the rest of the season.

Breaking Bad has been renewed for 16 more episodes, which will conclude the series: http://blogs.amctv.com/breaking-bad/201 ... s-brea.php. Vince Gilligan has said that he sees the show ending after five seasons, so this isn't a surprise, but I'm glad AMC isn't dicking him out of the full final season.

I'm really impressed that Hank even knows what veganism is.

What a rad episode. Hank is definitely channelling Columbo.

That scene was so intense! I'm not a Hank fan, but he was awesome in this episode.

I don't get why Walt's all perplexed about how to get to Gus if he's just hanging out at Pollos all the time.
Good episode though.

I didn't get why Schuyler was so perplexed about the volume of cash to be laundered and that it was in $50 bills. I mean, I know it's supposed to represent how much Walter and she hide from each other, but it just didn't seem credible, given that she's a bookkeeper and a control freak.
I thought the scene with Walter and the Charger in the parking lot was a great example of how far from a good guy he's become. Also, at he loves a good car explosion. (remember the scene in the gas station with the random jerk in season 1? Classic.)
And finally, poor Jesse. Damn. I love his character, and his monologue in the NarcAnkn meeting was phenomenal.

Thanks for the reminder about the explosion in Season 1. Definitely illustrates how far he's come, and how quick he still is to blow up a car.
I also thought Jesse's monologue in the meeting was awesome and intense. It was great when he got out of rehab to hear him acknowledge that he's accepted who he is, and he's "the bad guy." You so rarely get a good, believeable bad guy, and get to actually watch them wrestle with the ramifications of that.
I was worried that this season was getting very plot driven and twisty-turny, and moving away from the great character pieces from the earlier seasons. This episode, especially the Jesse part, is bringing it all back though.
