I used to be able to make it through episodes I didn't like because there were always Starbuck and Apollo, but that's part of the frustration now. TOTALLY. I finished S3 E14 last night and it's been better for awhile now. The last few episodes were super good, I thought.

You should stop watching when something significant is seen to have happened on a certain planet with a familiar name. The series would have been so much better if it had ended there.

lol. I get the vague warnings but I'm totally going to watch it all anyway. My life wouldn't be my life without a great show going to shiitake at some point. And with that, I shall finish season 3 tonight.

I don't think it's "a must" that you watch razor. I have yet to finish it and I don't feel like I missed anything.

I watched the 1970's original, tried to watch the new, and gave up after trying more than once (many consecutive episodes at least two different times) to get into it.

S4 E11 How come no one leads with "Dude, I'm sorry, I just found out I'm a cylon!" It seems an obvious starting point. "I didn't know!" Also How much would it suck to address your ex husband as "Mr. President"? And Adama holding sobbing Adama! I've never previously mentioned how much better Lucy Lawless looks as a blonde.

Okay so I know I was totally supposed to stop watching, but I need good shows to disappoint me. So here I am . . . And Starbuck just found her dead self and scared away whatshisface - Leobit (wth kind of name is that?). If you scare a Cylon, you have troubles. And my official declaration of great importance: Helo > Anders > Lee

I'm done! I finished! The end wasn't bad! I mean, it clearly had it's flaws, but tons of finales do. Low points to include: Kara is an angel, really? Lee's hair. The IDEA that Hera is mitochondrial eve and we're descended from all that is cool, but the morality lesson from 6 and Gaius wandering through NYC is just weird/preachy/awkward/pointless. Why didn't Adama come back after the President died? Poor Lee is all alone! Why did they have to settle EXACTLY where the previous inhabitants were? But at least

I liked the finale right up until they rescued Hera. Then, Kara was an angel and I lost my shiitake. And I thought the whole "we'll just give up on technology altogether" thing was stupid. STUPID. And I wasn't thrilled that Hera was mitochondrial Eve, either. I did approve of All Along the Watchtower. The rest was completely "what the fizzle am I watching?"
I do not hate it as much as some other finales, though.

I do not hate it as much as some other finales, though. I think the giving up on technology thing was fine - they'd said a few times that the cycle went bad because they made these smart machines and frakked that up so they would just start fresh. It's a little hokey, as was Lee's speach about teaching them language, but they spent all that time getting chased/killed by angry cylons, so it makes sense from their point of view. But Kara the angel disappearing? Definitely odd. If she was an angel, shouldn't she have been clearer in her mission and less confused?

Giving up technology was completely unbelievable. That would last right up until the first time a pair of parents are watching their child die of dysentery. No society in the history of the world has ever successfully suppressed any technology without police state measures.
God, that finale was deplorable. Awful. Just, so forking bad. All of the important themes of the show were undermined by the end. I mean, the whole show is supposed to serve as a warning about incautious technological development, but the message by the end of the show is "Don't worry about it: God will take care of it." If they had let the show end as the destroyed Earth, the first planet called Earth, it would have served their message well. "Hey, we forked this up, and no one else is going to bail us out."
The other major theme, the conflict between Cylon and Man, turned out to be nonsense, too. The 'final five' were not Cylon in any meaningful sense. Instead, it was about humans vs. some guy (series of guys, whatever) with developmental problems.
Two things I wish TV would drop altogether: faith vs. reason (guys, you aren't actually having this debate if you make faith reasonable and reason merely obstiant), and forking daddy issues. That goes for you, too, Lost.

Also, that Helo shirt is fantastic. Totally requesting that for my birthday from a nerd friend!
