I'm just now catching up since Ann and Chris left (which was the last episode I was able to catch). And oh. My goodness. This season is just so. . .sweet. I don't know how else to put it. It's just so incredibly sweet! Even though the scenario has been played 102374 times before in every other show ever, Leslie realizing she was pregnant made me tear up. Haaa.

You guyssssss... when is Parks & Rec coming back?!

Also, has anybody gotten Amy's book? I will probably get the audio book version because I'm in the car a lot and enjoyed listening to Tina Fey's book and Mindy Kalings.

I have no idea but I want it to hurry up!

I haven't bought Amy's book yet because it doesn't come out here until the 7th but rest assured I'll be downloading it as soon as it's available!

I just binged watched every season, never having seen it before, and I can't describe how happy this show makes me.
At first I thought Leslie was going to be a bumbling goof ball so I loved how she really was so smart and great at her job. I love how positive and upbeat the show is (even April!).
Ben is the best partner ever. And I heart Jean Ralphio so hard.

sigh

I'm going to buy it as soon as I finish my current book. I lovelovelove Amy Poehler, and it sounds like her book is awesome.

I hate saying this because I deeply love P&R but the new episodes just aren't doing it for me.
The show has sadly lots its luster.....

and where is Jean Ralphio???
He better show up soon to save this show!

Wow, I could not disagree more! We are LOVING this season in my house. Laughing just as much, if not more, as we ever did. My boyfriend just commented, on Wednesday, "Damn, this season is REALLY good!"

i do know Jean-Ralphio makes an appearance somewhere in the final season as i follow the actor on instagram and facebook and he's mentioned shooting his last scenes as Jean-Ralphio. not sure how much he appears but one can hope it's lots.

i was dying at Treat Yo Self 2017. the treat yo self 2011 (?) episode is my favorite episode ever.

I'm on the fence about this season. It sort of has the last-season-of-Roseanne problem (something I decided was going to be true about this season before I'd seen an episode). And I don't like what they're doing with April.

I do like that they're making liberal use of the Star Trek triple. And The Perdple's Court.

i kind of feel like it's got the "this is the last season we have to tie everything up in random ways" problem.
the last season of hte Office was similar in it's weirdness.

overall i like it but i do feel like they're trying to finish everything so the season can end

I love a good gimmicky episode of anything and I'm thoroughly enjoying tonight's - especially the fake commercials.

I'm 2-3 episodes (not weeks) behind, but I think this season is my favorite. Yes, it's giving fans everything they might want, but what's wrong with that if they are doing it SO FREAKING WELL???!!! I'm so happy watching it.

It took me a couple weeks to get excited about seeing the end of Parks & Rec, but these last few episodes have been rather good. After the Gryzzl story was done (which I enjoyed because it didn't shy away from the time skip), it's been all tying off loose ends. I'm alright with all of the guest appearances from old episodes, like Eagleton Ron.

But fork NBC, seriously. They've been shitting out this final season as fast as they can as if they've grudgingly given us one last season as long as we get it over with. fork them. What do they have in the chute that's better than Parks & Recreation? Undateable? Please. Ron Funches can only carry that show so far. What have they done for me lately? Besides Marry Me, which everyone should be watching because it's really hilarious and I'm going to be really mad at everyone when it gets cancelled.

Wait, really? Not to derail, but I saw some promos for that when it was premiering, and it looked absolutely vile. Is it actually good?

I really like marry me, too! everyone on it is basically a cartoon version of a real person in a good way. I'll give anything with Ken Marino a fair shot, which is why I started watching initially.

I never saw any promos for it, so I can't tell you how it compares. I love Marry Me. It's a ridiculous show. It takes the dumb fights (that aren't actually fights) that MBM and I have and makes them into TV episodes.

The fake commercials in the Johnny Karate episode! The Paunch Burger one actually duped me for a minute. I definitely will need to watch that episode again.

Ben Schwartz and Jenny Slate are also both on House of Lies, where they are slightly more realistic versions of Jean Ralphio and Mona Lisa. It's wonderful.
