It's that time of year again! I haven't seen a lot of new shows that i'm interested in, but that could partially be that I haven't watched actual trailers for them. Also there's 10 new cop shows. Hulu has the airdate schedule:

http://www.hulu.com/fall

Brian and I watched the Selfie pilot and it was better than we thought it would be but it's still forked because that's a dumb name. Anyway! New shows I will be watching at least once (and this year I will remember not to get excited about CBS shows that I can't watch):

Selfie
Gotham
Gracepoint (this looks really good)
Marry Me (Ken Marino!)
Red Band Society (critics are all in love with it)
Blackish
Bad Judge
Constantine
How to Get Away With Murder

And returning shows:

The Mindy Project
New Girl
Sleepy Hollow
The Blacklist
Modern Family
Scandal
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Castle (if I drop a show it'll be this one)
Vampire Diaries
The Originals
Once Upon A Time

That doesn't include stuff that comes in mid-season.

Gracepoint is based on the British show also with David Tennant called Broad Church. Gracepoint basically looks like a shot for shot, line for line remake of the British show. If you can find it somewhere to watch, I'd recommend that one! But then again, Gracepoint might be just as good. I'm curious about it, but since I already know who did it, there's kinda no point in watching.

Anyway, moving on to my favorite time of year!

I am undecided on my new shows, but definitely going to watch Marry Me! and Jason wants to watch Mulaney.

Mindy Project
New Girl
Sleepy Hollow
Haven
Brooklyn Nine Nine
Castle
Once Upon a Time
Bob's Burgers
Simpsons
Key and Peele
Shield (Double question marks on this one cause it was sooo hit or miss last season)
Parenthood (Sigh..why do I torture myself? and why is it on at 10:30?)
Walking Dead (in October but I get so confused if it's the second half of the season or the start of a new season)

I gave up on Shield after 4-5 episodes. It just wasn't interesting enough, if someone tells me it gets better i'll watch it on Netflix sometime.

This is Parenthood's last season and it's only 13 episodes, so power through!

Yay! I was just looking for your thread on this season's things to watch. Good timing.

I am looking forward to New Girl and Modern Family. I haven't decided what I want to see that's new yet but How to Get Away With Murder sounds interesting.

Broadchurch, holy heck. I'm going to watch Grace Point because I'm intrigued and hearing they're mixing it up a bit, but sheesh, the posters and ads (and American accent from DT?!) so far make me reluctant because GP was something else.

Oh, and I want to watch Marry Me because I enjoy both stars so much and I will continue watching The Mindy Project, and waiting for The Walking Dead to return. I also caught the first few episodes of You're the Worst on FX mid-summer and dug it.

After a bit of reading up, I might delve into Gotham and Constantine, as well. We will see. I also forgot about where last season of The Mindy Project ended, so having reviewed that...might need to see if they can make that work.

New shows I'm interested in are:
Red Band Society, because Ricky!
The Mysteries of Laura, because I like Debra Messing. But the plot doesn't all that interesting to me.

Returning shows I'll be watching:
Big Bang Theory
2 Broke Girls
Parenthood
Walking Dead
Grimm
Sleepy Hollow
The Goldbergs
The Mindy Project
Downton Abbey
Mr. Selfridge
Shameless
Portlandia
Doc Martin
Salem
Awkward
Faking It
American Horror Story
Masters of Sex
True Detective
Orange is the New Black

I know some of these won't come out until 2015 at some point. But I'm as caught up as I can be on them and I'm waiting for the next round of watching!

I'm semi-excited for AHS. I thought last season was really good up until a point where I thought it wasn't very good anymore and stopped watching. I never did finish last season. I also really don't like Sara Paulson. Also, what the fizzle with all of the cop shows?

I may also check out Constantine. I was curious about Gotham but I haven't really heard anything good about it so now I'm not so sure.

Looking forward to:

The walking Dead
American Horror Story
Wentworth Prison
Downton Abbey
Cat Wars (one off)
Gotham
Boardwalk Empire

Also Mad Men but that's not until 2015. I might give Better Call Saul a go, too. And I need to get in to Sons of anarchy!

new shows that i'm definitely going to try:
red band society (it's already waiting on my DVR, whoops)
gracepoint
gotham
marry me
how to get away with murder

i might also try selfie, because i've heard good things despite the name. maybe it will be this year's cougar town in that respect?

i'm sure there are other new ones i'll try, but i haven't yet allowed myself to be immersed in all of the trailers and blog posts about what to watch. yikes.

Gotham was good, but I think the only new show I'll keep following is Blackish. It was recommended by a lot of comedians so I finally watched it and it's good. I recommend it.
