love this show! don't ruin my good thang by discussin' season 3 here because i haven't started watching it yet. the only thing i can't stand is the constant forking, but that's an HBO/showtime show for you. i imagine writers sitting in a room with the following conversation:

writer 1: so what should happen next? we've got us some vamps, shifters, and some sort of wiccan thing going on. we need another element to this...

writer 2: hey, i've got an idea! how about someone having sex?

everyone in the board room: ooooooooh!

I'm watching this series on Netflix right now! That means I only hate 97% of the vampire crepe that has saturated pop culture lately.

I think when you have Alexander Skarsgard on your show, constant forking should be not just encouraged but entirely mandatory.

I was thinking the other day that I didn't think there wasn't an Eric appreciation thread on the new board yet.

+3 on the mandatory naked Alexander Skarsgard

Mmm, ASkars.

Season 2 might be my least favorite. I liked the Fellowship of the Sun stuff, but Marianne's whole deal was so, so boring.

I got crepe for memory, I read all of the books so now I can't remember what was in the show back then or the books. I know last season made me want to throw something at the tv!

Went to bed around midnight, woke up at about 2:30, started watching. It's 6 o'clock now, and I'm not thinking about getting back to sleep anytime soon. :)

Oh, so keeping a vampire captive in the basement and draining his blood and drinking it is totally vegan?! I knew I disliked that woman from the start.

I actually really dug the Marianne storyline, mostly because I love Michelle Forbes.

Oh, I like this thread because I haven't seen season three yet either.

The Marianne plot line just dragged on too long.

I liked most of season 2. A lot of the stuff in Dallas was good and Godric/Eric was brilliant. But the forking maenad - oh that forking maenad: Rubbash!

I just finished Season 2 and I finally get the Eric thing. He's marvelous and I liked his backstory with Goddrick (who I also liked because he reminded me of an old Anne Rice vampire). I also think the Jessica and Hoyt storyline turned out pretty adorable. I was expecting to hate the Jason/church storyline, but I didn't - and his return to town to protect it with Andy (?) was sweet.
