WAIT. Stamos was game? Seriously? And they didn't go with that? *sigh* KarynMC wrote: I think "Piano Man" sounded natural. And "Mr. Cellophane" definitely was. (I remember reading somewhere that one was live.) Finally got around to watching it. Messy, but not terrible. Thanks, Glee, now I know that transsexual is more offensive than tranny. Yes, the body issues were good and—oh my goodness, was Finn adorable. Will, I'm glad you didn't rap, but could you please keep your shirt on in the future? At least there's Darren Criss to look forward to next episode.

Quoted for truth. But overall? I liked it. I dunno. Didn't like the lyrics changes. But the spirit of the rest of it was there for me. Mercedes rocked my socks as Frank, and was better than many Franks I've seen live. Though Emma had the right spark for T-T-T-T-T-Touch Me... she's kind of an awesome Janet. (Better than Rachel, sorry Rachel.) The dancing was mostly spot on for me. Not the best episode of Glee, no best songs, but I liked the decrease in the amount of auto-tune and thought it was far from the worst Glee so far.

I just watched it tonight. Meh. Emma was excruciating to watch/listen to, which kind of bummed me out because I remember reading when the show first started that Jayma Mays sang Touch-a Touch Me for her audition (since even the non-singing parts had to audition with a song). I was like, "Oh, cute! She's going to do it." But then autotune made me sad.
The skeeviness is starting to get to me. Not just Will, but Stamos too (to a far, far lesser degree). And Jacob in the Britney episode? Gak. This show is squicking me out a little too regularly.
I totally agree with everyone who said yay for the boys with body image issues and boo to the transphobia.

yes, for reals. the britney episode was awful because of that! the parts with brittany dancing around stamos was soo gross and then will was so gross in the end and now this episode was creepy, too! it's making me not want to watch anymore.

Maybe this is because I spent most of teenage years pining away for older guys, but the older guy thing skeeves me out a lot less than Will being creepy obsessive, bordering on stalking, to Emma.

Just so you know, the movie is kinda terrible. You really should go to a midnight show with a shadowcast. That's the best way to watch it. Watching it alone on DVD just isn't the same. If it wasn't the most bizarre movie I've ever seen, it was pretty damn close. But I seriously love young Tim Curry in thigh highs. Seriously, Tim Curry as Frank totally gives me a girl boner. And I've seen precious few men who can pull off that look (including one guy who really should've been playing Riff Raff because he was a dead ringer - he wore ill-fitting underpants that showed his asparagus crack, so one night, the first time he turned his back to the audience, my friends and I screamed 'Say no to crack!'). The thing that annoyed me about the Glee version of Time Warp - and I know it was meant to be one of those group togetherness things - is that, at this point in the show/movie, Brad and Janet realise that they are in a place where they absolutely do not want to be. They weren't singing and dancing along. Also, Magenta's verses were meant to be seductive and suggestive. Quinn sounded like a Disney princess. I really don't understand why they didn't let Santana sing that. Maybe because the character's name is the same as the last name of the original Magenta. But that would be a really shitty reason. ETA - And why did she have a box in her skirt? What was the point of that?!

Side-effects of watching Glee this week include humming Science Fiction/Double Feature all day yesterday and then doing my best Frankenfurter in the shower this morning with a rousing rendition of Sweet Transvestite.

I would have bet money that it was Tina singing Science Fiction in the beginning. It really really 100% sounded like her voice (which...I'm sorry...I hate. It sounds...powdery) and I cannot believe that it was not.

P.S. Karyn is banned for that shot of Will.

I've never seen Rocky Horror and I never plan on seeing it, but that episode sucked. I normally LOL multiple times during a Glee episode, but the only thing that was funny was Brittany's peanut allergy costume.
But Finn in those glasses. Yes, please.

One of the few good things about the episode was that it looked like the adults backed out and the show was done by the students. Will is creepy. And I'm not exactly sure why - because he acts like he wishes he were one of the students? Because of the skeezy way he treated Emma? Because he knows so little about a woman's body he was fooled into thinking Terry was pregnant?

Ok, the more I think about that scene, the more disturbed I am by it. Was Emma supposed to be getting it on with the whole Glee Club? Why was will the only one who was shirtless, and where can I buy a skirt like the one she was wearing?

All of you who are saying the movie is bad should be banned.
Also Tofulish's avatar is more damaging to my emotional state than the picture of Will.

the skirt she was wearing during touch-a touch-a is by juicy couture and is called the fruity print skirt. they dont make it any more but you might be able to find it on ebay but its made of silk. and yes, i spend way too much time thinking about emma's wardrobe.
