Is anyone else watching this show? It's FANTASTIC. Jeffrey Tambor is always great but this is such a different role for him and he's just le sigh, so good. I'm so glad Gaby Hoffman is in something, too. And the supporting cast is filled with so many great people. So far I am loving this show.

Yes, I have watched 2 episodes and was worried it would be played for laughs but really, really not.

I watched it! It's one of those shows that I like even though I hate most of the characters. The kids are insufferable.

Yes! I was thinking that too, that the kids are all unlikable, and usually that would turn me off a show very quickly, but it's not with this one!

I watched the whole season at once after seeing a preview for it at the movies. It is really thoughtful and thought provoking.
I don't like the kids either but they are nothing if not real.

Janet Mock interviewing Jeffrey Tambor. I feel like the interview probably goes on longer than they show here but the other I link I four for this was even more annoying with ads than this one (which is also annoyingly ad-heavy). So anyhow. Great (start to an) interview.

I loved that show! I'm so happy it's been picked up for a second season. Jeffrey Tambor is so beautifully honest and real as Maura, it's hard to remember that he's an actor playing a role.

I watched it all in a week. SO GOOD. To me it feels like it's so much more about the family dynamics than the gender transition. Maybe that's because it could be about my partner's family members, who happen to be Jewish.

I think the most amazing aspect is that, no matter what your background or knowledge of LGBT issues, no matter who you are, Maura is the only person on this show who won't make you SUPER uncomfortable. Like with everything the kids do, I cringe! It's great but omg I am yelling at them so much to stoooop haha. And then you go back to Maura and it's a relief from all the messed up shenanigans. And FFS these kids have a lot of sex!
