I just watched "The Mist". It was a little bit tacky and a wee bit predictable, but some of the scenes were pretty rough. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who has kids. It's hard to watch.

Usually the list would be a lot longer (there are times I watch two movies a night while crafting or something) but I've been really busy.
Sharktopus. -amazing. a made for sci fi movie that embraces it's own cheez factor, bothers to work on the special effects, and gives you lots of giant monster. Will never be my #1 fave, but loads of fun. (caveat: i went in with super low expectations) Miles better than mega shark vs giant octopus.
Grindhouse: Planet Terror - not sure why but I hated and was disturbed by it. I usually love horror and usually can deal with gore.
27 Dresses* - rewatch, to wash out my brain from G:PT so I could sleep.
Pumpkinhead* - rewatch. Favorite monster movie, EVER. I watch it every Halloween, it's my personal stupid tradition.

Ip Man. I had no choice in the language settings because it was on Netflix, the Mandarin was dubbed and no subtitles for when they spoke Japanese or when Mandarin text appeared on screen (and there was a fair bit!) but otherwise a really great film. Historically inaccurate, but still a great film. Will have to buy the dvd so I can get the subbed version I guess.

Watched 3 Extremes/Sam Gang Y. Creepy. Good if you like Japanese horror type films (it's not scary though, just disturbing).

I expect ridiculous from him (and sometimes ridiculous is just right).

I received The Road in the mail today... hope it's good!
Also, last night I watched Absurdistan and thought it was entertaining.

Usually I am at home curled up on the couch in a blanket enjoying hot tea and humus. Most people don't get to see what that area normally looks like.
In the past week:
The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus The Shining Darjeeling Limited The Funhouse Dawn Of The Dead Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection (The new Blu-Ray release is AMAZING) Bottle Rocket 8 1/2

I watched a 1962 low budget thriller called Carnival of Souls last night. It was quite good! I totally anticipated the ending though but that's okay, it was still a good watch and the ending was satisfying.

That movie creeped me the fork out. I watched it in high school and I STILL remember parts of it. I may have screamed in parts. I rarely watch movies because I have the attention span of a gnat, but I saw Life Is Beautiful (La vita è bella) and watched it in Italian with English subtitles. Freaking fantastic movie. I also saw Dr. Zhivago because I read the book and well, it was a bad move because I usually never see a movie after I've read the book, but if you see the director's special edition or whatever, it's cool to see how they filmed it and whatnot. Also saw It's Complicated when I was all doped up recovering from surgery. It wasn't awful, and it was sort of funny.

I watched Wings of Desire and Europa Europa for classes, and they were both great. I just watched Galaxy Quest with some friends. I was pretty dismissive of it when it first came out, and never saw it, but I was wrong to judge. It was really great.

I had watched jackas3D and paranormal activity a few weekends ago.
Paranormal activity was pretty good. I wasent sure what to think of it. But explained a hell of alot about the first movie. Which in the end the second even eneded up making the 1st one better. And by the way the ending was...I do expect another one next year.
And jackass was jackass. Still just as funny, just as good. 3D did add its touch to it.
