Inherit The Wind. Go see it, everyone! Its a very PPK movie, based on the Scopes Trial of 1925 where a teacher was arrested and tried for teaching evolution. Its on google video! Go now!

I get my movies from the library: Pink flamingos Grizley Man bad lieutenant: port of call new orleans The man with the movie camera Strangers with Candy (the movie) Do the right Thing
Based on the Shirley Jackson short story? That's such a great story, if it is.
Last night, I watched a Buster Keaton short (1/2 hour) from 1920 called One Week. Really good. I love Buster! He's amazing. I think my favorite of the Harold Lloyd/Chaplin/Keaton set.

Deep Throat. I'm not even kidding. We're studying sexual freedom and it was suggested that we watch it. Oh dear god. Also Tron. Its so cute!
That is NOT a very good movie...also a bad choice for sexual freedom. Check out "the Opening of Misty Beethoven" or the softer core "the Story of O"...or even the very tame but amazing "Oranges Aren't the Only Fruit".

Last night I watched The Man From Earth. Really, really good sci-fi. It pretty much all takes place in this guys living room. It's low budget but highly captivating.
Also saw Ushpizin. Pretty much couldn't be more opposite of the previous film. It's about an orthodox Jewish couple in Jerusalem. Kind of quirky.

I watched The Crazies the other day, which is a remake of a fairly obscure Romero film from the '70s. I totally dug it. And it was terrifying!
I really liked it, too! I'm surprised it didn't get better reviews. And it's so hard to find good horror flicks.

I haven't seen any good movies for a few weeks. The last good movie I saw was Adam. Before that Waitress. Since then I've seen Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, The Squid and the Whale, life as we know it, and the Graduate. I anti-recommend all of them.
Brian and I just watched The Human Centipede. It was okay, not great but not horrible. It's also not as gross as you would think, because most of the grossness is just implied.

'Next'........ was a really bad film, but I got excited cos I'd been to Havasu Falls a couple of months before it was depicted in the film I went to see in the cinema.
...so probably was filmed before I'd even been there but you know...... it seemed like it was close to my heart. .
...or domething sentimental like that

Friday night: Love Actually (for wine and crush reflecting) The Wizard of Oz (for childhood reminiscence)
Yesterday: I decided to visit some celeb crushes from over the years - The Neverending Story (Atreyu was a hottie) Say Anything (Lloyd Dobler - hello??) Season 2 of The Office (not a movie but Jim Halpert that year was perfect)

If you watched the DVD, my friend Sarah Jacobson (R.I.P.) did a cool short documentary that I think is included. I still need to buy the DVD, but I've seen it SO many times... "Times Square" too
oh yeah, we just watched:
everyone needs to see it...
