That baby was huge, too! Definitely not a newborn.

Amber and Max were great.
I really liked Kristina and Crosby fighting - that really down dirty fighting you reserve for family.
I felt really sad for the coffee girl. She has the same soft round face as Julia, and the actress is really good - the character seems feisty, funny and yet so vulnerable. I don't know if Julia and Joel are going to end up with her baby, but I kind of hope that she finds an empowering ending as well.
I could have done without John Corbett chewing the scenery.

still watching.
adam dressed up? hysterical! amber showing max clinton's apology? funny!
and yeah, my labor was more cursing than screaming :D (not helping the pregnant girl) but of course the nurses wouldn't even let me move, so, you know.

I have no problems with the huge baby -- the law in California is that babies under 15 days old can't be in front of the cameras, so when a TV show or movie does have a baby that actually looks like a newborn, it's almost certainly a preemie who isn't even at the due date yet, and who probably has a not-fully-developed immune system and shouldn't be around so many people yet. You used to see that more often (especially on the early seasons of ER), but there was enough of an outcry from child welfare people a few years ago that most shows have gone back to just using older babies.

"OMG CEE LO GREENE! OMG CEE LO GREENE!" Gets really tiring after a bit. And kind of incredible that Zeke would be all excited by it...and that it would trump excitement over Nora.
Please let that be the only bit of stunt casting this show does (though it seems the luncheonette is going to be all about bringing celebs in).

yeah, that was kind of the worst. and also that christina didn't just kick everybody out as she was trying to bring the baby home. and also that adam would just leave his newborn to go to work? actually, pretty much everything about that episode was the worst. i'm starting to hate the show in general.

And that Camille would tell Kristina that her daughter looks exactly like Adam "and nothing like you at all!" Really? Camille is generally supposed to be so emotionally attuned and that is so tone-deaf.
I liked Haddie still needing her mom and Joel standing up to Zeek, and even Drew's first kiss. I thought the whole idea that Sarah would be coming up with money for Seth somewhat unconvincing. Hasn't he been to rehab before?

Joel was definitely my favorite part of this episode! It was so nice for Sarah to have someone stand up for her when she just didn't feel strong enough to stand up for herself. And the look on Julia's face was like she was falling in love with him all over again. Sweet.

The storyline definitely could have accommodated any musician, even a fictional one, but I thought it was played nicely. Cee-Lo allowed the show to portray him as the hard-to-please celebrity/fussy artist type, instead of making him a can-do-no-wrong DeBarge with the "Facts of Life" girls type. Plus, NBC using someone from one of their hit shows ("The Sing Off") on one of their more lower-rated shows is good cross-promotion, but perhaps also somewhat a vote of confidence in Jason Katims.

Kitteh wrote: It was an alright episode, I felt sorry for Kristina and I don't know what to think about Sarah and Seth, I think it's good that she's there for him but I feel sorry for her bf. The scenes setting up for a breakup with the hot English teacher are painful for me to watch. Why are they doing this to me? It doesn't help that John Corbett is annoying to me. Is that too much Botox or something else going on?

I just figured out why Marc is so unbelievably attractive...he's John Ritter's son! Has this been mentioned and I missed it?

yeah, he was on joan of arcadia! he's great!
The sarah/seth thing is so annoying. i get that he's the father of her kids, but her kids are basically grown up. i actually agree with zeke about them, which is crazy since he's usually a total asshat.

That's what I was thinking too, ijdi, it's not like she needs help raising their kids, they're adults now. rocklobster wrote: deearess wrote: I just figured out why Marc is so unbelievably attractive...he's John Ritter's son!
