I got Gryffindor, which really surprised me. I was thinking I would be Ravenclaw.

It's really cool so far - the potion took me forever to get and I'm getting so much better at dueling :)

I'm AccioSpirit21694 :)

I'm about to go shopping in DiagonAlley, and the site keeps crashing *sadface*

Ugh. Making potions is hard enough as it is without the site staggering and freezing all the time.

Also, I have done some very un-Potteresque swearing at my computer/potions/Pottermore over the past hour.

Got my wand! Elm with dragon core, 13 inches, solid. What the hell is elm? *visits Wikipedia...*

So I tried to pull a Mars and sign up for another account to take the sorting hat test again, but the questions were different, and I got Hufflepuff again! Damn, I guess I really am a Hufflepuff!

Quote:
The complexity or otherwise of the entrance to the common rooms might be said to give a very rough idea of the intellectual reputation of each house: Hufflepuff has an unchanging portal and requires rhythmic tapping; Slytherin and Gryffindor have doorways that challenge the would-be entrant about equally, the former having an almost imperceptible hidden entrance and a varying password, the latter having a capricious guardian and frequently changing passwords. In keeping with its reputation as the house of the most agile minds at Hogwarts, the door to the Ravenclaw common room presents a fresh intellectual or philosophical challenge every time a person knocks on it.

I couldn't sleep, so I took it again too and got Slytherin.

Maybe I should go back to sleep.

Is AsphodelFlame41 one of you guys? Or SkyMoonstone16374? I'm giving everybody nicknames so I know who you all are.

I haven't brewed a potion since duelling came back up. It was so glitchy it just seemed like a waste of time and ingredients to me. And my cauldron exploded. Twice. Oops. Duelling is more fun, but still very repetitive. I guess I had expected the site to be more interactive. The only way to communicate with other users is in the common rooms and great hall, but even those are so heavily moderated I haven't been able to post anything. Oh well. I do love Pottermore for all the background information on the story, I just wish there was more of that!

Chalk up one more Hufflepuff! Plus I have a super cool cherry and phoenix feather wand. Oh, and I suck at the potion thing too. Which I think is why our house has the least points, every 'puff I know says they've given up on potion brewing.

Cool cool! Yeah, I agree that potions are hard. I doubly suck at spells though.

Hugs. I'm there too. Maybe we can set about making Slytherin a lovely place, not one of evil by spreading the hippie vegan love?

I didn't even realise that this was open for everyone to join already! I'm way behind the times.

Anyway, I joined and I'm SkyStorm12654. I'm a Ravenclaw (fork yeah, it's what I wanted!) and my wand is unyielding sycamore and phoenix feather. Sounds cool.

I'm so bad at spells and potions that I think I may be a squib.

edit: I went through the Sorcerer's (Philosopher's) Stone so fast not realizing that that was all we could see for now. When do we get the Chamber of Secrets?

starrynight, I have no idea. I also suck at potions and spells. I don't think I read the spell instructions correctly because I can't do it on the first one.

Aaahhrg let me join the club of those unable to brew potions. I tried 10 times and I either burn it or mess it up somehow. I still haven't managed the first page! Damn.

Since the house cup is going to be awarded next week, does that mean the next book will be available soon? I haven't tried to do potions or duel since I started, my connection is so slow it doesn't seem to work well.
