...A famous prof in my field keeps a blog called the Language of Food (now also a book; http://languageoffood.blogspot.nl/) and has a Stanford course with the same title. The syllabus and reading materials are here: http://web.stanford.edu/class/linguist62n/ . It includes a link to the New York Public Library's MENU PROJECT, http://menus.nypl.org/

Shared in case anyone else is as excited as I am.
