MUCH better picture from the Emmys. I'm kind of obsessed. Perfection.

I can't wait for season 2 to start.

We just finished watching the series last night. So good. Brutal, complicated, and often hard to watch, but so freakin' good.

I immediately went on Amazon and bought the first 4 books. They'll be here by the end of the week.

I worked with a make-up artist from this last week on a photography shoot. They're making part of it out in my home town and I know people in it. I'll have to try to watch it some time.

That's awesome. I saw on Winter-Is-Coming.net that they were filming some scenes in Northern Ireland. They sounded like the Dragonstone/ Stannis scenes so I'm guessing a lot of them are near the sea.

Yeah, they're all over the county apparently. My home town ones are being filmed in the woods, where as bored hippy teenagers, my friends used to split into groups and play massive games of catch, awesome!

Every time I drove to my parents I saw all these little 'GOT' arrows pointing to the woods and didn't realise that's what it was.

My thoughts exactly. I expected someone much more old and creepy looking to play Craster.

I get that they probable didn’t have time to play out the entire Maester and Melisandre scenes but I think it could have been done better.

Tyrion will always be my favourite character, Peter Dinklage does such a great job at it.

I’m disappointed they didn’t have time to include an Arya scene.

The actress who plays Cersei looks....normal in real life. I wonder if part of her direction on the show was "try and look like you're holding in a fart."

haha! awesome. i wouldn't be surprised. she's a hoot on the bluray commentary tracks. (what a potty mouth goofball she is.)

is craster the creep with the daughterwives?
they chose a great guy for the creep at the bridge (the twins, was it?) so i was surpised they chose a somewhat normal looking dude for daddyhusband. (i guess they figured if they chose a gross looking guy, then all his daughters would have to look even worse, considering the inbreeding. i wonder if he's gotten to the grand-daughterwife level yet. *shiver* i wonder how many of them are not viable births.

oh and can I please ask that we keep this thread for talking about the show, not comparing how much it sucks compared to the books? there's another thread for talking about the books.

I love the look on cersei's face that was all "holy shiitake. how the fork did I raise such a little dick?"

never read the books but just caught up on season 1 - not on purpose, happy coincidence its just started again. And I love this show! I'm torn because I think I should read the books, but think will spoil the show for me, I don't wanna know what happens next until its aired. Dragons, how cool!

can I ask why? its no more off topic than talking about how the actors look in real life and as long as no one is being a douchey spoiler I dont see the harm in talking about how the casting for certain people was good or bad

It's annoying? And there's a thread for the books so no big deal, do it in there.

I have a serious problem in that every episode I think that nothing bad will happen to someone and then I get screwed over. Like, at the end of last season I was all YAY! Arya is going to find her brother at the wall and be happy! and now they are out searching for her and she's probably totally screwed! I can't believe I ever let myself think that things are going to be ok for anyone.

on a side note, Paul F. Tompkins' live tweets of GOT are really funny. I just read them all afterwards because I can't be distracted by twitter during the show, but they are still funny that way.

We recently got HBO, and I spent 10 hours Saturday watching the entire first season. Holy crepe. Have we started using the term sonephew yet?

I just got started on season one. Not reading the thread yet because of spoilers. Also, I'm definitely reading the book, because the episodes are hella confusing at times. * excited *

Whenever I think about the episode of Baelor, I can't help but YouTube the video of Hitler discussing the finer points of Game of Thrones.

This is my favorite book/show/anything since Harry Potter. I'm a nerd.
