This may be my hatred of Christina talking, but I really like Shakira! She is funny and personable.

And yeah, Judith was amazing.

I just watched the re-broadcast of last week's episodes. I REALLY like Shakira! She's very well spoken and I love the things she's saying to the contestants. Usher is good too, but I totally miss Cee-Lo and his random animals. Adam seems to be racking up on the talent.

omg! funny you should post that^, because a friend on fb posted about how that guy, Christian, actually "stole" that arrangement from another guy who had posted it on youtube. I know nothing of the original, but it definitely seems weird to do the exact arrangement (that is totally unlike the original?) that someone else came up with.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIJBLL5 ... ata_player

but reading the comments, I have no idea what is going on... I have no idea

That makes me feel a tiny bit bad about buying the song on iTunes. But since it's not completely clear... whatevs. I'll just enjoy the song for now!

I noticed that iTunes made a bit of a mistake. They currently have 4 songs posted for The Voice under today's date - presumably those are the 4 people who get picked for the last spots. I made sure to not actually SEE who they were, since I enjoy that tiny bit of suspense during the show, but I have a feeling those weren't supposed to be posted at least for a few more hours!

Again with spending 5 minutes on a story and cutting out entire battle songs. I'm here for the singing! Also, the producers are handicapping the ones whose stories they don't tell, because the audience will feel that they "know" some and not others. This will be quite significant once it gets to the voting rounds.

Yeah, that was pretty terrible. Also, I find Usher terrifying. Also, I think that would have been one of the battles they glossed over if the producers hadn't wanted to show Usher being terrifying.

Agreed. I'd have much rather heard the blues country girl singing Me and Bobby McGee over that nonsense. It was positively cringe-worthy.

I really wanted to hear her, and I'm staunchly anti-country. She's just intriguing, and they cut her out almost entirely.

So I finally had a chance to watch this weeks shows. I gotta say, this show is so much better when you can just ff through all the nonsense.

I'm still not feeling anybody this season. The people I want to watch are more based on entertainment factor than someone whose music I'd buy.

NBC really needs to get on their game though. At the end of the show Wed, when they were previewing what was coming up, voice-over dude said something along the lines of " next week on the voice, one of our new coaches will make a steal that will blow your mind". Um, since you just showed Shakira stealing 2 artists this week, why not just say Usher, or to be suspenseful, one judge? And really, do we need to be reminded of what happened just before the commercial break?

Audrey's performance was one of the worst I've heard on The Voice. :(

Which one is Audrey? I'm drawing a blank. I thought Taylor's performance was really bad. There were a few keeps that I didn't agree with either. Overally I think Adam has the best team, and maybe Shakira's is second.
I also don't think its fair to have duos, but maybe that's just me...

From Usher's team-Audrey sang a Lil' Wayne song (which I'm not familiar with, so maybe her singing was actually not as bad as it seemed to me) and went up against Michelle (the energetic, fun one!) who did a Pink song.

No, allychristine, Audrey really was awful. I was cringing and muted it.

I like half of Adam's team(Judith and Sarah) but I'm not sure what he sees in the other 2. I'm also surprised he's going with an all girl team this season.

My fav going into the live rounds is definitely Michelle. She sorta reminds me of Cody from last season in that she's fun, entertaining, and I never know what to expect.

Are 3 nights really necessary, though? There is a thing called overkill and 5 hours of this show per week is pushing it, IMO.

Ah yes, I don't remember her but I remember that song. I'm not familiar with the original either, but I agree with you. Bad. And yes, I like Michelle! I hope she does well. She had me a little worried during the rehearsal bit (for the Pink song) but she pulled it together. She's just fun to watch. I love how she's all "for the nerds!"

I totally agree with Gaia though on the the overkill. Hopefully this won't be an ongoing thing; who has this kind of time, come on. (Stupid DVR, allowing me to watch more TV than I should...)

The only reason I'm watching on Wed is for CeeLo. He's just such a great showman and his performances are always a bit crazy.

I had hoped for better song choices now that the judges were picking them, but there were some awful choices tonight. And drunk Blake does not make good tv.

I think the thing I'm most looking forward to tomorrow is Blake and Shakira performing together. Train-wreck or not, it's bound to be entertaining.

I get offended when the judges show up clearly intoxicated. This is your job! If I showed up to my job drunk I'd be fired. It's disrespectful to the artists who are performing their hearts out.

I've really liked Shakira as a coach thus far, but man were her song choices uninspired. And Queen for the group sing? Really?

At this point, I'm not blown away by anyone, can't remember half of them, and don't really care who goes home tonight. Is it just me or is this season more toned down/boring compared to past seasons?

DEG, ita. He was better last night, though.

I'm watching last night's show, and OHMYGOD, CARSON, SHUT UP ABOUT THE HEAT. I'm so sorry that the poor celebrities were sweating for 45 minutes, but LET IT GO.

Also, I really did not like "Alone". At all.
