A fairly accurate summary, I thought. It's pretty huge so I can't embed it. http://www.gabbysplayhouse.com/wp-conte ... sm-all.jpgThe only issue I have with it is that the "it's not sexist!" folks are all men, and the "yes it is!" folks are all women, when there's really a mix of both on every side.

She doesn't link to the original Kate Beaton dust up that inspired the cartoon (as best I can tell). She shouldn't link to that, though. There are too many comments from men agreeing with the idea that sexism is wrong and too many comments from women saying this is overblown.

I get your point, but I don't think the intent of the creator of the comic was imply to that all men are sexist or made backhanded compliments like that. I think she was just trying to convey how the debate feels from the perspective of a female webcomic creator.

true true (and see my other comments above). comics just don't allow a lotta nuance sometimes... So she acknowledges the flaws, asserts that mostly the debate splits down gender lines, and otherwise I think the comic can stand for itself as a fairly good representation of how sexism feels.

Cute, but did the woman have to be portrayed as so drippy and apologetic? Women aren't doormats in arguments, saying "sorry" etc every 10 seconds.
