I like that Tea <3 sign. I was in the Netherlands when my absentee ballot arrived (in Denmark). I'm not getting home until midnight. I hope, I hope I can still post it tomorrow.

I'm really excited this time to actually have an opinion on my BART board member!

This is precisely why I vote absentee! I have a good long week or two with my ballot to look up what the hell everything is and who endorses/opposes who or what.

Aren't your ballots posted online in advance?

It was crazy packed when I went to vote. And I overheard this conversation between two children:
Kid #1: (shouting) I'm gonna vote for Barack Obama!
Kid #2: But you can't vote for him today. Not for two years I think.
Kid #1: (dismayed) Two whole years???
That kid's going to be really disappointed when he finds out he can't vote until age 18.

This and the tea sign are enough to hold back the desire to go to bed and eat brownies straight from the pan.

Not a horrible person, but perhaps a little misguided. These local people tend to have a lot more direct affect on your life than the folks in DC.

Voted. I really hope Bert Hill wins for the BART board, that sit/lie dies and that prop.25 passes.
So: Grayson lost, bummer. I can't find news on Feingold yet but I still hope he might make it; he's practically the lone voice of civil liberties in the senate.

I used to be the same way. For non-partisan elections now, I look up endorsements. I don't have the time or interest to learn enough about the county assessor-type candidates to make an informed decision, but if unions, schools and Planned Parenthood (?? not sure why they endorse these candidates in Nevada) support someone, I can comfortably do the same.

I know. Who names their kid after that horrible woman, anyway? Gross.

And Boehner will probably be SotH. URGH.

And AND, I don't think Missouri Prop B is going to pass, which means they'll STILL be puppy mill capital of the world. I don't live there anymore, but I almost wish I hadn't re-registered in Kansas so I could go and cast a ballot on that one issue.

Holy shiitake, I really want an adult beverage right now.

Sigh, up 33 seats in the House right now. I'm almost afraid to go to bed because I know I'll wake up to badness. Mainly I'm terrified at what this means for climate change policy...

Voted. Apparently my voting place had over 1,000 people vote today. Wish I would have spent more time researching.... didn't know much about the judges or school board people.
