One of my real life friends (not close) became a social network friend and wasted no opportunity in claiming veganism had ruined her health.
She went between saying she had been a strict vegan for 8 years to saying that she had accidentally consumed ghee about once a week because she didn't think at the time that the Indian restaurant in question would be using ghee ...
She also kept saying that she could be vegan if she believed in "artificial" sorts of B12 (eg as in yeast extract) and saying she couldn't be vegan. Apparently, buying cheap meat from supermarkets was her way of taking a stance against industrialisation and globalisation.
She said her great-grandmother had died of pernicious anaemia and so that must be what she had. My attempt to find out a bit more about this relative got misrepresented as my being an insensitive ranter.
What a forking bisque!!!!
We now have no social network friends in common and I plan to just avoid her.
