Yeah, I think racism, or at least prejudice, is everywhere. It's just directed at different groups sometimes. I think where I live Hispanics, homosexuals, and non-christians are most targeted. Other groups are also sometimes looked on with suspicion, but those groups seem to get the most grief.

Of course the people who are on the George Zimmerman side will be like, "SEE?! HE DESERVED IT!", but for me, that doesn't change the fact that he stalked this kid, was told not to approach him, and then instigated the fight. Trayvon didn't approach him, and he didn't have a gun himself or even a knife. I know you can beat someone to death, but shooting someone for hitting you is still excessive force.

yea, trayvon was essentially standing his ground, which the law says he can do. Or he could have even tried to escape but couldn't. I doubt it will have much of an effect on anything.

It makes no difference to me if Trayvon hit the guy. He was being stalked... didn't he have the right to stand his ground?

Exactly. I think it's just this side of conceivable that a person could incur some bruised knuckles while attempting to defend themselves against an unprovoked attack by an armed man who outweighs them by 100 lbs.
I wish I shared your confidence. I have a very bad feeling about this.

The idea of strangers donating hundred of thousands of dollars to him makes me ill. Donate to a charity! Regardless if if you think he was in the right or not, pulling a trigger on a gun has consequences, and part of those consequences is going through the legal system, aka jail. Not to mention that he wouldn't have to pay that much if he hadn't tried to lie about how much money he had in the first place. What idiot gives money to a dude who was clearly going to book it out of the country?

Apparently after GlobalGrind broke the news yesterday of Sean Hannity offering to pay for Zimmerman's legal fees, the story just broke that Sean Hannity will interview George Zimmerman tonight...

Finally, George Zimmerman gets the "fair and balanced" chance to tell his side of the story, with a legal team to carefully trying to manage the details of the events that up to now have already shown him to be a completely unbelievable liar and general POS.

Has anyone ever called Hannity fair and balanced?

Actually, I remember hearing his transformation. He used to be a mildly annoying, but often fair right radio host, then over the course of about a year, he ramped up into a godawful, nightmarish Limbaugh clone. I like listening to things that make me angry while I drive, but zi haven't found anyone lately that makes me angry but not apoplectic so I'm back to audio books or trying to get NPR reception for more than 6 miles of my trip.

Presumably anything Zimmerman says here can be used against him in court?

George Zimmerman said he regrets nothing and would do it again. Lets hope the jury that hears his case gets to hear that, because that does not sound like the kind of person I'd want back on the streets any time soon.

Also, its so not an apology to the family to say that you regret that God made you kill their son.
