It's just people being thoughtful, which in this case means repeating crepe you hear from your local Rush Limbaugh clone and adding extra Jesus. Extra comments would just obscure the thoughtfulness.

BUT! But! Eagle Scouts have begun returning their medals and renouncing their Eagle Scout status. (I think it's just two people so far.) This is quite a gesture. Earning the Eagle Scout status takes years and years of work and dedication.
