Really though, some padded bras feel like you ARE smuggling something in that little corner on the side. I, for one, am looking forward to explaining that my boobs are actually significantly lower than they appear and not to worry - that's just a little bag of jelly sewn in that's pushing my chest fat to the appropriate place.

When they ask about your bra, please tell them you're smuggling raisins.

more forking bullshiitake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSQTz1bccL4Lets get the facts straight first. Before the video started the boy went through a metal detector and didn't set it off but was selected for a pat down. The boy was shy so the TSA couldn't complete the full pat on the young boy. The father tried several times to just hold the boys arms out for the TSA agent but i guess it didn't end up being enough for the guy. I was about 30 ft away so i couldn't hear their conversation if there was any. The enraged father pulled his son shirt off and gave it to the TSA agent to search, thats when this video begins.

They teach the children in school that they can say NO to this, that it's not ok, and then they take the child and prod him and tell him that is ok? fork this.

fork this. And this shiitake is why I will be avoiding airports for a long time. I do not want x-rays every time I fly, and I absolutely do not want someone to grope me. I find it incredibly offensive. But beyond that I cannot teach my children to think that someone touching them (or me) like that is OK. EVER. I am so deeply disgusted. I just wish I didn't live 3000+ miles away from my family. I may suck it up and take the train, even though it'll take days to get home.

fork this. The TSA bisque looks so forking smug in that video, too. Anyway, this is something else I was talking about today- we teach kids it's not ok for people to touch them and pat them down all over their bodies "except for at the airport- the TSA agent." ??? What was it? Age 13 is subject to pat-down?

So a three-year-old fails to set off the metal detector and they figure they need to give the pat-down. Why? Look, I don't planes to get blown up any more than any other sane person, but we have lost our liv-a-snap minds!

The worst part of this for me is that when it gets brought up, people for serious don't understand why I object to being seen naked by strangers or being touched. So i'm just going to wear a shirt underneath my regular shirt that says 'I was molested as a child and sexually assaulted as a teenager' and pull up my first shirt anytime anyone starts talking about how it's not a big deal. There is a bigger picture even if you personally don't mind.

Corporations just give a shiitake about the bottom line. Anyone who thinks differently is living in la la land

i went through this at the buffalo airport in august. i didn't really care about being scanned naked. at first i thought "w tf you dildos" but i read that the images are not stored on some file; they only last as long as you pass through the detector and then are discarded. i was kind of embarrassed that some man was seeing me naked but on the signs by the line they made it look like it wasn't EXPLICITLY your body that they showed, it was just a vague form but enough to show that you weren't holding any weapons on your person.
i was like "haha you stupid security guard you're seeing my body and it's gross HA HA FOR YOU"

But these machines DO store images. I had a link to an example a few pages back.

Otherwise we wouldn't have pictures of them on the internet available for our viewing discussion.

If a private business office required this kind of invasive physical searching for customers, it would have the media so far up its asparagus it could vomit microphones.

Unless it's a matter of "national security." they can get away with anything.

It doesn't need the explicit ability to store or transmit the image. We live in the world of cellphone cameras.
