As summarized on another site: Romney campaign buys $5K worth of food; hands it to empty handed people waiting in line to "donate"; makes them wait in line for an hour until Mitt arrives for photo-op of people handing him back the food his campaign had bought. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mckaycoppins/the-making-of-romneys-storm-relief-eventThere's also the whole issue with the Red Cross saying they needed cash and the Romney campaign insisting on physical donations. Then to top it off, in some states where they were conducting these "relief events" were telling people to stay off the roads while the Romney campaign was telling people to come down and bring non-perishables.

Well, not unheard of. Paul Ryan worked at a soup kitchen for a couple of minutes last week (I think) just so he could get his photo taken of him doing dishes. And Romney has used disaster before to further his campaign. Look at how he responded to Benghazi. Didn't waste any time to attack the President on his foreign policy. Very insensitive, I think.
