This thread makes me want to buy things. I want a flat screen, mothers hubbard!
... but they're all really expensive.
... and I am suddenly on this thing called a "budget."

CURSES.

Me too. All I want to do when I look at this thread is go see if there are any good shoe sales online. I need some shoes.

I don't need shoes!

You might. I'd keep checking, just to make sure. And if you see any deals on flat screens, let me know. I'll do the same.

I love their commercials. Did they have good deals? If you return them, can you just exchange so that you can keep the price deal?

no deals, actually. i just was reminded that i needed these things. They have really good exchange policies. you have a year to return stuff and free shipping both ways.

I've never even bought stuff from them and their front page was full of recommendations of stuff that they just knew I'd buy... how do they do it?

I'm going to Zappos land for a while... be back later...

eta: holy moly I could get lost on this site for hours!

Well, I bought the services of a tow-truck driver, which obviously wasn't planned. Roadside assistance services were not on sale today.

Big fail here... Usually I barricade myself in my house on Black Friday... This year Mr. Scruffy decided he wanted to "look" at TV's... Which means we wound up bringing home a TV that damn near takes up the entire wall. Haha! Oh well... At least it was on sale and Mr. Scruffy is happy so I'm happy. :-)

I have the feeling that even though we were watching it all day today (even played a LITTLE Fable 2 on there to see how game play would feel), I'm still going to be startled tomorrow morning when I stumble into the livingroom & everything is different.

I got a free ticket to a dance and percussion performance tonight, so I put some money on my cta card so I could take the train to the theatre. That doesn't count, right?

I'm away from home, and staying in a hotel, and I had to eat. I didn't buy anything myself, though, I had other people buy things for me. So really, they failed.

Thanks to everyone on here who supported small businesses! My show sucked but I saw the cars lined up for forking wal mart on my way there yesterday morning. It made me ill.

I was doing really well with this, and then I accidentally bought a castle on the west coast of Ireland.

Here, here RO. That is exactly what I did with the exception of a dog walk but I did that in my pajamas. They didn't seem to mind.

I spent all day on the couch, drinking coffee, eating leftovers, knitting, and watching Harry Potter movies. It was awesome.

Today I bought some Christmas ornaments, but from a local place. I don't usually buy very much for the holidays, but every thing this year will be from non-chain stores.

I read this and thought I wrote it at first. Twins!

I didn't leave the house yesterday, but I bought some stuff from small businesses doing black friday sales online, new shoes from a vegan business and a new-to-me skirt from my favorite vintage etsy shop. Like others have said, I don't do buy nothing day because I prefer to shop ethically, small and preferably locally everyday; though I do think it's a good idea to discourage the big box black friday chaos. At least no one died this year (did they?)

My mom said there was a fight at Toys R Us... no death, but c'mon.... crazies.
And she's pretty sure that after an hour waiting to get inside, an hour trying to find what she wanted, and two hours in line to checkout, she didn't even really get all that much of a deal.
