Your anecdotal luck is not proof that you will never get sick.

And also, if you work for a hospital that requires it, I don't think they are going to take that as evidence that they won't require you to get the flu shot.

sorry i was a bit fired up yesterday, i didn't get to emphasize one point. i DO think that people are within their rights to refuse the shot- THERE IS ALLOWANCE FOR THAT. But as a consequence, there should be a mechanism for these people to be transferred into positions where direct public contact or contact with high-risk patients is not possible.
