I was never really into the punk scene. What political persuasion does listening to Billy Joel and ELO lead one to?

Well, of course I mind that a lot of people disgree with me on a range of issues, from the environment to nuclear weapons to veganism to animal rights, but that's because collectively those people have the power to make the world a more violent and damaging place. On the other hand, when it comes to one individual who disagrees with me, I'm not so bothered. And when it comes down to the question of whether punk rock is secretly communist, I really couldn't give a flying fork.

Finally, you seem very concerned that we should all care about you and your political views very deeply. You should ask yourself, why you over all the other people on this planet? It just seems rather self-centred to me.

seriously. in order for us to start caring about you, you need to at least tell us your preference for cone vs. bowl, if you wipe back to front or front to back, whether you wad your TP or fold it, if you install it over or under, how many times you poop a day, and whether it sinks or floats.

Oh, jstrodel, you're perfectly entitled to give your opinion and have it heard, no matter how unpopular.

It's just that the other side of that coin is that we, having heard your opinion, are entitled to simply not give a flying fork.

That's the part that I don't get. I don't even think he's positioning in a way to argue. He's just making all of these statements and then wanting people to care.
