This is scary. And I am still not entirely sure what to think about it

Now this:

2 million fish found dead in Maryland

All of this makes me very uneasy.

My guess is that this is like when everyone thought there was a huge surge in shark attacks some years ago. There's one that makes big news then others that otherwise wouldnt have made big international news if it hadn't been for the first one are discovered and suddenly it looks like an epidemic. At least I hope that's what's going on.

Still forking scary if you ask me.

I hope you're right. I am a conspiracy alarmist in my thinking. I know this about myself, so it's always good to have reasonable voices point out the other side.

A curiosity though.. while shark attacks were widely publicized on the 24 hour news cycle, I don't really think these are being talked about the way those were? I don't have cable so I don't really know if that' the case.. ?

Im apt to believe the bird expert...except at the same time there are fish die offs as well (im more worried about a fish and bird die off in the same area than worldwide...although its all troubling)

Someone made a Google map that plots all of the mass animal die-offs of the past few weeks worldwide.

edit: crepe. Never mind. It's already linked to in that boingboing article.

no - not recently. i was just thinking that we have no idea how much the BP oil spill messed up the ecosystem and i know that it didn't reach the bay, but i still think it messed a lot up and could potentially be affecting more stuff than what they thought it did. i dunno. just a thought i had.

I'm chalking it up to either global warming or the switching of the magnetic poles. One of my PPK facebook friends (I don't recall who) posted an article about that earlier today. Maybe they'll magically show up and post it here!

There's a bit more explanation of the map on CNN: http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/01/07/ma ... incidents/

Kirk Cameron is my most favorite scientist of all times.

So, this person says it usually happens and we just don't see it... maybe we're either just so freaking populated now or we're looking for things like this?

Still, Adam's article about the government testing chemical weapons has me a little weary.
