Does anyone know of the name of the doctor that did experiments on chimps or orangutans for stroke research? It was a particularly brutal experiment...
Spoiler: show
where the chimp/orangutan's head was smashed to simulate a stroke.

I have the vague memory that my professor said this man (I think his last name starts with a G?) was hired by my uni, and might still work there. I'm in an animality class and I wanted to write my journal this week about animal testing.

Yeah, wiki doesn't mention it or my university.

I'm starting to wonder if the actual experiment was done out of the US, because I seem to remember my professor saying that it was a European faction of PETA (if that even exists?) that took footage of the exeriment. There might have even been a BBC logo on the movie we watched about it unless I'm just remembering wrong.

Thanks though!

Their is certainly European PETA, I feel like I've seen this footage & it was pretty horrific but I'm kinda scared to go searching for it on the Internet - I don't feel like making myself that miserable today.

They showed something like this on Earthlings, maybe you could search that way? It was horrific.
