Read about this lovely gentleman here.

Reading the comments I see that he has now been fired.

10 years on the job gone in an instant for saying something stupid on his personal twitter account.

Ironically, in Wisconsin political views (and any legal activity done outside of work) is a protected status so he'd have grounds to sue for wrongful termination.

I don't know if 'shoot protesters' is really a political view.

I don't believe calling for the unlawful shooting of protesters counts as legal. Not to mention that attorneys are held to a higher standard, generally, than many others kinds of professionals. When D.A.G. Shirvel (the guy who stalked the openly gay student government president in Michigan) was fired, it was for Conduct Unbecoming, which means he was breaching the code of conduct that lawyers are sworn to follow. I don't think it matters whether, under state law, this guy in Wisconsin has some protection for his out-of-work activities. He still needs to follow the attorney's code in order to be employed as an attorney.

I, for one, don't have any problem holding the people who hold a great deal of power and who are employed to enforce the law to a higher standard. Plus, if this guy was dumb enough to post something like that on his Twitter account, that doesn't give me a great deal of confidence in his brain, overall.
