8/10.

I've been following Charlie Sheen's massive meltdown a bit too much, I think.

Me too, on both counts. But I can't look away. I kind of want to make a tee shirt full of Charlie Sheen quotes tomorrow.
Maybe I will.

I think you should. Ecorazzi tweeted me and Charlie together.

6/10. I haven't been following but I guess I've been picking up a few choice Charlie soundbites when I walkby-watch the news lately.

5/10. I should have gotten the last one right after Shy Mox's comment, but I still couldn't believe it.

Yeah. Charlie Sheen is a big-time "Truther." This whole thing has prompted me to watch his message to Obama. It was.... odd.

I got 6/10 too, but with all the reading I've been doing I think I should've been able to do better. I guess that means I'm not quite Winning yet. He should start a Church of Sheenology.

4/10. I'm so grossed out at all the attention Charlie Sheen is getting. The dude is a drug addict with mental illness. I don't find that entertaining.

But I do want to take him to a lab and run tests, observe and perform experiments.

I didn't hear the entire thing, but NPR had a piece today about the ethics of journalists not just covering the story, but giving a continued platform to somebody who -- to a reasonable person -- seems to be in the midst of something fairly significant regarding their mental health.

I can't pretend that I haven't followed this and gotten entertainment from it. I wouldn't say it is different than how we treat other celebrity issues, so at least it is consistent. But if this was somebody in your family, it would just be heartbreaking to watch. I have a couple of family members who have manic episodes and comparing my feelings with that with how I've personally consumed this as entertainment . . . it gives me pause. I know they looked back on things they did and felt shame or embarrassment and that was still relatively private.

Seriously. My asshat drunken brother acts pretty much the same way; I just ignore his calls. Then again, he's not on TV 24/7 (for which I deeply thankful!).

SCIENCE!
Anyway, I only got 6/10. Clearly, I should have studied harder!

I haven't followed this at all (I'm a bit fuzzy on who c. sheen is other than that awful teevee show) but given all that's going on in this country right now that is really important, it makes me ill for many reasons.
