This post is much less about the ad (see article) and more about the law that allows it.http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/10/26/anti.abortion.ads/index.html?hpt=Sbin"Federal communications law requires local stations to carry any and all ads by qualified federal candidates, to make sure no broadcaster has the power to oppose or censor any candidates by limiting their access to the airwaves. According to the Federal Communications Commission, broadcasters can only reject a federal candidate's ad if it contains a copyright infringement, or is defamatory."
If I were to run for a Federal seat just how far would the FCC allow my ads to go? Could I use my air time to run horrid, graphic footage of dairies or egg farms? Could I use it to air porn?
