I just don't get the hatred that people can harbor.

It's simple. And helpful! See, IF those straight Christians HAD BEEN bullied to death—which they weren't—they wouldn't have been… because, um, their belief in god would have prevented them from, um, killing themselves. So—this is where it gets weird—it's the gay peoples' fault. For not being Christian. And no Christians commit suicide. And no gay people are Christian.

The best part is imagining him typing that up and clicking send, and leaning back with his hands clasped behind his head. "Check. Mate."

So, he lied? The point I get from this is that, well, the writer is a liar. (my opinions of religion are too low to be affected by this article)

No, he made up the part about those people committing suicide. The point was that these people had christ in their hearts and because of that were strong enough to not commit suicide despite the obvious turmoil in their lives of being criticized for their bigotry.

Ah, thanks, Fee, you are completely correct, he says the suicide bit is the made-up bit, silly me not spotting that! So, is LGBSTQQCCISA the real name of an organisation or was the guy exaggerating somewhat? Must google.

Googled. Think the author of the piece probably also made up the acronym LGBSTQQCCISA. Which means he may be a bit of a fibber if he insists that the suicide part is the only fiction in what he wrote.

Which still means Fee read the article more carefully than I did.
