Mission Hill used to be kind of a bad hood but it's pretty much students and yuppies now. Maybe these skulls are a holdover from the alleged "Murder Hill" days!

my first thought when they found the box on the street was that it was an art school prank, they use skulls for drawing from in anatomy classes a lot so there are probably a lot of bones lying around at MassArt.
