I'm pretty excited after watching this preview (even if I don't have cable and this will probably be the thing to make me move)

I love this. I can't wait for this.
People might think that video is exaggerating...it's not. I got homesick from watching it.

"In Portland you can put a bird on something and just call it art" Heh. I've watched this about a dozen times in the past hour. I've been in love with Carrie Browstein since forever... and Fred Armisen is pretty neat too. Did anyone else watch their Thunderant videos? I loved the Feminist Bookstore sketches.

Brian doesn't love Carrie Brownstein. I may have to divorce him.

I always thought there was something slightly suspect about Brian. Now I know.

i am so excited for this! The we put birds on things and call it art made me laugh. I seem to like everything that Carrie Brownstein is involved in. I am a thunderant fan. i love the one while fred and carrie are leaving each other songs on voice mail.

Ha, is that the one that has Corin Tucker at the end of it listening to a message? I love her too (albeit slightly less)

I live about three miles from Sleater-Kinney Road (which is actually a pretty boring area, apart from the big games & comics store, but still...).

i've been over here in brooklyn trying to revive the 90s all by myself for about a year. so far, all i've managed to do is get looked at weird for wearing babydoll dresses over long johns. do i really need to switch coasts, or will this show finally make me look cool?

One of the first threads I ever started on the ppk was to cry over Sleater-Kinney breaking up.

When Sleater-Kinney broke up I felt like my world was breaking up. They were THE most influential part of my pre-teen/teen years.

Also, here's that song video:

"If you held my hand and didn't call me insane, I'd love you more. I'll take you to the grocery store."

But... but... indefinite hiatus isn't concrete, is it? IS IT? I refuse to believe so! They will return! Damn Corin and her babies. Why couldn't she just adopt cats like a normal person? What's up with that already?

YEAH Peninsula represent! I am from a town which is now basically a Twilight Gift Shop. :/

Seriously though, this Portlandia thing is pretty spot on. They got the tall bikes in the vid!
