I just finished this week's episode, and something occurred to me:
Sara and Grissom are supposed to be married. She was only supposed to be a guest on the show. She's now a regular, and has been there for (essentially) 2 seasons. But they've never really explained why she's been living apart from her husband (who was so in love with her that he left his job and tracked her down in the jungle) for the past 2ish years. They mentioned her reappearance with something about him lecturing in Paris (iirc), but no one's bothered to ask, by the way, why are you still here?
I dunno. I've never really liked her as a character - I find the way she talks kinda irritating - so maybe I'm biased in wanting to know what the hell is up with that.
The other thing that was bothering me - since when did Ray become the boss of everyone? I mean, he should be a lower level than all the rest of them, but in the past two episodes, he's been guiding all their actions and making it look like he's teaching them how to do their jobs. I love me some Laurence Fishburne, but this and the above kinda make me feel like the writers are assuming that the audience has no memory of past seasons or character development.
