Andrew is a 6 year old former feral who I have had since he was about 8 weeks old. I have worked hard with him over the years to get him to accept being touched with little success. He spends most of his time in the basement and still runs when I approach him. But over the past two weeks, he has been coming upstairs at night and sitting next to me on the couch and letting me rub his belly. I have no idea what the change is but I was thrilled. then last night, I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up, I found this  Andrew on my lap!! it felt amazing to have him cuddle with me. I had to eventually put him down because I had to go to bed, and he wouldn't budge, but I am hopeful he wil make a return visit tonight. Yeah for ferals who learn to love

He is a lucky cat and you are wonderful too! There is nothing like a warm cat on your lap on a cold winter night. I love how, in typical cat fashion, he settled down with his butt towards you, as if telling you "Ok, I am just doing this to make you happy, don't think too much of it if I come back now night after night. I am cat."
