It is very similar to harissa... I LOVE harissa.. and when I make my traditional sauce it is sooo spicy. This one is pretty tame compared. I make a really good apricot harissa too.. yum!

I don't think I've ever actually written down the recipe.. most of my recipes are in my head, but the next time I make it I will definitely write it down and share.. it's really good. I use dry apricots..
