It looks like a snow queen hovered over it and farted.

It's horrible. Absolutely horrible. I hope it stops soon because I need to shovel my car out before I go to bed.

Ugh.

I used to appreciate the magical sparkliness of snow. I USED TO BE YOU.

Now I'm dead inside or something.

Anyone else have to go to work tomorrow? Ugh. I don't think they will ever tell me I get a snow day since I walk to work. Darnit.

Yes. And I drive to work. Which is why I hate this shiitake.

My sister and I are traveling back to Philly from Massachusetts tomorrow. Will we survive?

I doubt my office will be closed tomorrow. I usually don't find out until just before I would have to leave in the morning. But if I can't get out of my alley, I'm taking a personal day. I'm not driving 20 miles in this shiitake.

They are only reporting about 5 inches on the ground now. That's a huge let down. How much are we supposed to get by morning?

You're still going to England, right?

I better be! I'm supposed to leave Tuesday evening so I still have to work tomorrow and 1/2 of Tues. Unless I can't walk outside but that doesn't seem to be likely.

I hope the snow isn't too crazy, so flights are unaffected. Your London trip and Brighton sidetrip sound amazing!

I'm Amtrak-ing back to Philly Tuesday night from DC. I hope I don't get stuck for 10 hours in the cold and dark. But once I'm back I really hope there's a tonne of snow. I love Center City in the snow!

I'm Amtrak-ing from New York and SEPTA-ing to Chestnut Hill on Tuesday. This could be interesting.

I was all set to head outside and dig out at about 7 am, but I got a reprieve from work - don't worry about coming in today. Hurrah! And now it's a 3-day week. Bonus.

The wind is INSANE.

I am snowed in with my in-laws here in South Jersey and I feel like I could seriously vomit. I'm so angry right now, as if we left early yesterday morning, I could have been back in upstate NY with one of my poor kitties that is dying. My husband was under the false pretense that the roads would be free and clear this morning (even though I disagreed with this crazy prediction about a day and a half ago). I feel like I could punch him and Mother Nature in the face right now. For reals.

I walked to work this morning (usually a 10-15 minute walk) and it took about 45 minutes to jump and fall through all the snow. Then I got to the office a little while ago and the front door was locked. So I have a key, and I opened it. So I'm standing in the little vestibule where the second door is locked. This inner door is never locked! So I get my key out again but it doesn't work on this door! I look through the glass doors and all I can see is the receptionist's desk, which is empty. The lights are on, but I have a feeling they are always on. So I called the main number like 4x, no answer, called every extension I knew and a few random number combos to reach any desk, no answer. So I called the partner I work for on his cell. He's on vacation in Florida but I asked if he knew anything. He laughed and said no but maybe try to call the office again in an hour or so. (School! Two hour delay!) So I left and came home. what the fizzle! It's so weird that no one was there but no one told me? Is there a snow protocol that no one told me about? Also, if I have to make that walk again in a bit I will be pissed.

Oh no, Randi that sucks! Sounds like you made enough effort and get to stay home for the rest of the day.

I def declared today a snow day. The hubs is trying to dig us out now. By the time I would get to work it woul be time to turn around and come home. Sometimes its good to live far away from your job. I have to drive, take a train, and walk to get to work. Not worth it!

I just unearthed my car. But the way the wind is blowing, it might need dug out again by morning. It's ridiculous, I opened my trunk for about 5 seconds to get my shovel and half of the contents blew out into the street.

I need to find something in my basement to put in my parking spot, because if someone steals it I will have to find them and pull their large intestine out. Which is a hassle.

Ohh no I am so sad and angry for you! I hope you make it home to your kitty soon.

It sounds like Philly may have gotten it worse than here in New Hampshire...or at least, NH can deal with it better than Philly. Is it unreasonable to hope that it might be all gone by the time I get back on Wed? At least I only need to make it a few blocks from Market East to home.

I'm flying back to Philly in the morning, I hope I can make it. Trying to get to Texas was a pain in the asparagus, and not even weather related.

Eric. was supposed to fly back today, but his flight was canceled! Our cats have been alone for a while now, eeks!
