PPK! It's my anniversary! My partner and I have been together for a whole year today - we count from our first date. We have had mixtapes and presents (books on permaculture and sustainability, as well as a ring for him, and a natural-rubber yoga mat and Eat, Live, and Be Vegan by Dreena Burton for me!), and cupcakes and pizza and later delicious chickpea, pumpkin, and hazelnut salad.
I am so happy and in love!
Who else has an anniversary coming up?

Yay! Sounds like you had a good day indeed.
Mine is coming up on November 24th, it'll be three years (we got together on election night in 2007). We'll both be working all day and I have ukulele class that night, so we'll probably just do presents and maybe dinner, and then do something fun on the weekend, maybe waterslides or something. Last year we went to a shooting range, which we figured was kind of romantic because we did it so we would be able to better protect each other from zombies one day, should the situation arise.

Hooray! And congrats to everyone who has an anniversary coming up. Love is the best thing. <3
I forgot to mention the really exciting bit was that we went and saw David Suzuki speak the night before. He's a bit of a hero to both of us, and what he had to say about the state of the planet managed to be both realistic and inspiring, something that I didn't think was possible at this point.

Woohoo, congratulations!
My boyfriend and my one year anniversary since 'going official' (haha) is next month. We're having our third date that night...and we still have to squeeze our second date in somewhere too! We only had our first 'proper' date after being together for six months or so...did the whole pretending not to know each other thing for the whole night, twas a laugh!

Congrats! This thread just missed mine - Married 3 years on the 20th.
Our dating anniversary is coming up, though! Our first date was Nov 25th, 2001. 9 years, ahhh!
I kind of wanted to get married on Nov 25th so it would be doubly our anniversary, but that would have been thanksgiving and our families would have been like "i hate you".
