Weekends are definitely best for me, but I could do weeknights if necessary. And I have barely explored the veggie food in this city, so I'm in for most places.

That sounds fun! I could totally hop the train into the city for something like this!

For west philly, I suggest the following:
Vientienne Sitar (i bet if we call a day ahead and say there will be a bunch of vegans coming, they will make all their veg buffet items dairy free) Fuwah hoagies, just wont be anywhere to eat them and its cold Abyssinia Local44, nothing that special about it though.
Any other west phillyites have a suggestion?
One place i've been meaning to try is cantina dos segundos. I've been to the s.philly spot before, never to the nolibs one. I'd like too see what the hype is about.

I would be especially game for this if it is in West Philly! I am rather lazy about crossing the river.
Any Ethiopian would be excellent. I mostly go to Abyssinia and I've been to Dahlak once, so I would like to try the other three on Baltimore, but Abyssinia is always delicious too.
Ed's has vegan pizza with daiya, but not much else. And amandabear said there's another place that has daiya pizza.

Ive still never had Ethiopian food yet… so id be into that. Never heard of Vientienne. We live right by Dos Segundos, so we can always meet up there as well.

Suzuki - Abysinnia is the best as far as Ethiopian goes. ALL my west philly friends advise me against Dahlak due to serious health code violations. I was curious though and sacrificed the mice/roach sightings and asked my bf to come with me for dinner once. The food was really good, but I wouldn't go back any time soon.
since there is a general agreement thus far on west philly/ethiopian food, can we all agree on abysinnia? I'm all about it since I live a block away haha.
I guess the question is, when is good for everybody? Somebody wanna take a stab at coming up with possible dates?

I am definitely in for Abysinnia since it's 2 blocks from me! Just not this Friday, because I'll be in New York.

I have been to Abyssinia and I wasn't thrilled but I think that's only due to my not liking injera. I wish I could get naan there :) suzukibeane wrote: Just not this Friday, because I'll be in New York. Me too!

I'm open to any day this month except the 20th, 22nd and 23rd. How about the 19th at 7pm?
