TXvegan, If you ever drive up to Dallas, let me know. I can meet you somewhere, and we'll do lunch or coffee.

I work in Downtown Fort Worth and get off work at 3, but I will go straight there. I might be a few minutes late.

Hey, Do you guys know about this place? http://www.facebook.com/pages/Vegan-Fre ... 7590677945for non FB http://www.veganfreak.biz/ but it's just a logo and brief explaination "VEGAN FREAK will specialize in vegan convenience products (snacks, sweets), gifts, bath and body products and specialty and hard-to-find vegan items!" They just opened this week. I haven't been up there as I live in SE Fort Worth, but I'm hoping to go sometime soon.

Wow, Dallas is not where I would have imagined the next vegan store to pop up. Cool!

Technically it's in Denton, which is where North Texas University is. It's about 20-40 min. north of Dallas/Fort Worth.

Apparently I already knew there was a Loving Hut in Arlington, but forgot until my mom called me. What about the new Spiral Diner movie theater? An art house theater (something Fort Worth needed) with vegan concessions. http://thecitizentheater.com

I'm debating doing my weekly vegan eating out (which is always at Spiral) at Loving Hut. I don't know if I can get my roommate to try another vegan place. He's so awesome about going with me to Spiral.

Dallas folks, what's the state of vegan pizza in DFW. Any places with vegan cheese? Any particularly good cheeseless options?

Papa Johns with no cheese, and their garlic sauce is vegan. So good! Also Pizza Lounge, Pizza By Marco (make sure you get the wheat crust), and ZPizza have vegan pizza.

Thanks! What about Whole Foods? Is vegan cheese actually carried in the pizza station, or do you still have to buy it separately?

I did used to buy daiya from the pizza counter before they started selling it on the shelves so I'm sure they will make it but you have to order a whole pizza, not just a slice.

I live in Grand Prairie, but work in Oak Cliff (or perhaps Duncanville... ?) I never really venture into Dallas. However, I'm going to a show at the Granada Theater next month. I read this thread but didn't recognize any of the restaurants named here, other than Spiral Diner, which I've been WANTING to go to, but just haven't gotten around to it yet.
The show starts at 1o p.m., so I'm assuming it will end at midnight or later. I was wondering if anybody knew about any vegan friendly places in that area that would be open at that time, I imagine I will be hungry after the show, and possibly drunk and in need of a place to eat and sober up and lick my wounds before I drag myself home.

Pizza Lounge - It's open till 2 and fairly close to the granada. It's in the fair park/deep ellum area.

Eric. wrote: you dont know where you work..? nonetheless, get to Sprial sooner than later. I always thought my job was in Oak Cliff, but a couple of people say we're in Duncanville. It throws me off because I have been to Duncanville but have no clue where Duncanville really is. I work less than five minute away from Mountain View College, so I'm going to stick with Oak Cliff. sunnybear wrote: Pizza Lounge - It's open till 2 and fairly close to the granada.
