Yay, pie!
I hope there will be chocolate pecan pie and cheesecake (which is a really a pie even if it says "cake" in the name, right?).

I have never managed to make a good dessert pie, because the fillings are all gloopy and soupy for me or if it is pecan pie rockhard and unbreakable. Also, I screw up the crust.
So if Isa and Terry make idiot-proof recipes that allow me to make pies, there will be pie in my piehole all night long. Especially if they make lemon merengue pie lemonmnomnom.

I want to make lemon bars now. But I'll wait for pie. I'm not making desserts until the pie book comes out.* Chocolate peanut butter caramel pretzel pie. Can you imagine?
*That might be a little bit of a lie.

I only know what it is as I was watching an episode of Martha one day, mind you here in OZ were quite behind, but she was visiting that Momofuky Milk Bar and she was eating that pie. I will admit it looked absolutly delicious.

Hmm, I fear I might have to break up the trilogy, for I have just purchased and am anxiously awaiting VCTOTW (did I do that right?) but I pretty much hate cookies. I like pie, though.

Usually Isa will put up a thread or blog post or facebook announcement and will take the first x number of volunteers. People who have tested before and done a good job will probably get first shot.

Ahh it has potato chips AND coffee AND peanut butter filled pretzels? I definitely gagged a bit. Sounds grouse.
ETA - ok but it looks delicious and the description won me over. But still! Whoa, crazy cookie!

One book to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them.
Way forking better than eggs would.

I can't speak to the rockhardedness of your pecan pie, but I finally figured out why my fruit pies used to come up soupy. The part about waiting until they're completely cool actually matters because disturbing them while they're hot/warm messes up the pectin; basically the entire structure of the pie collapses if even a small piece is disturbed. Alton Brown explained it much better, but it made me realize that I wasn't just pie deficient, just impatient. And a whole book of pie? I can't wait!
