I added insanity for Chris, if that will even be his new name when he comes back.
Inspired by SoS. Thanks!!

It's day 26 for me! Yeah? Turk? How did Turk help? 45! I have 15 minutes left of back and biceps and ab ripper, but, you know, I wanted to test the new boards.

Donald was tweeting about it earlier this year but he seems to have quit, so we outlasted him! I'm hungry and should make my green smoothie but I can't drag myself away from the new PPK.

Bookmarked so I can keep up with this. It looks interesting. I don't know that I'm ready for it yet, with the other things I want to do but I definitely want to hear about it.

It took me a while to actually want to do it myself. And then the more I heard, the more I wanted to try it out too. I modify quite a bit to suit me but I'm sure I'll improve with time. Also, appifanie is my Coach on the BeachBody forums :)

Totally. http://beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/appifanie Also, if you sign up for the Beachbody site (free or pay and I can explain them to you if you want, just let me know) then you can join the "PPK Vegans" group I started and we can "work out together." Or at least have all our pics together, being cute. I totally veganized a Shakeology recipe earlier - I'll get to that on my blog tomorrowish. I also have good posts on my blog! eta: and if you do go to the BB site and sign up, it'll ask if you have a coach - make it me! I'm appifanie there too. even if you don't buy anything, I have this little thing that says "You have __ new customers" and I like when the number goes up. : )

Kitteh-I had to restart again because I hurt my foot. But now that I know how to land softly, I should be good. 3rd day is tomorrow. The entire thing is 60 days.
Appifanie-It is seriously intense, but I love it because I can go at my own pace. There are no reps. Only time. You do as many as you possibly can in the time period given. I feel so frickin energized after doing it.

I thought I'd find you here! I did the full hour of Plyo this morning, instead of 1/2 in the AM and 1/2 in the PM. I love the feature on Beachbody where it fills in the workouts for you because I have to do them since they're in the schedule.

I modify some moves because a lot of jumping makes my knees ache but I'd still like to try Insanity. I know some girls have had success combining P90X & Insanity. And I feel super after Plyo & Kenpo, they give me more energy! ETA: We should revive/start a new vegan thread on the BB forums seeing as there are at least 6 of us.

I joined the PPK Vegans group!
P90x is hard, but I couldn't do 30 Day Shred for more than a few days without my knees hurting so bad I could barely walk. Not soreness--actual sharp pain in my joints. My knees still grind, but they don't hurt after the P90X workouts--even with the squats and jumping.
I decided to sleep in today, but I'm working out when I get home!

I'm kind of going back and forth on Insanity. I'll check it out for awhile but I'm going to have to modify the program a lot with my bicycling so I don't die. Like I'll probably skip the pure cardio workouts and ride further those days while still doing the plyo and other more workouts that build strength. I also still have my kettlebell that I want to use more but the program I started was so repetitive I just couldn't stick with it.

Mo - That's true. I can't do everything either, but even if I modify, modified-whatever is better than sitting on my butt.
dtbk - I like that it enters me for a chance to win money (come on big money! no whammie no whammie!)
Kitteh - PPK vegans, inspiring vegans all over the world!
Melisser - I did one day of Jillian's 30DS and it killed me and I never went back. Most days of P90X are like 58 minutes, there are 3 days a week (2? geez I should know - I think I'm blocking it out) that add Ab Ripper which is 16 minutes, and one day a week is Yoga which is an hour and a half. Most days it goes by really fast - there's a time bar that slides across the bottom that counts down time left in the activity and over all, and sometimes I look down and there's like 17 minutes left, and about 5 of that is cool down stuff.

Beachbody is the overall company, P90X is one of their programs. Men tend to get serious results more quickly, but women get big results too, it just takes longer than a month :) To get started you need the program (as a beachbody coach, I say buy it, but I do admit that I used an illegal copy up until now - I got my legal copy in the mail today and I'm pretty excited - the quality of my copy was craptastic) and some weights or bands. It also helps to have a heart rate monitor and a pull up bar. If you have a yoga mat you can use that, but I don't think you really need it - same for the yoga block. I have info about it on my blog - http://imnotstarving.blogspot.com/ - including a link to the P90X Women's Result's thread - http://teambeachbody.com/connect/messag ... true&cur=1I will say I have a pair of pants I couldn't get over my asparagus a few months ago, and now I can get them on and buttoned (while lying down, resulting in an unattractive muffin top). One of the things I like about P90X is it that they recommend at least 1800 calories a day - no starving! Woo!
