Is it really so hard? You guys are forking with my OCD and I don't even have OCD.

Mine is 20KB and I cried big wet messy tears and then realized I have no software to compress it any smaller. Someday I'll figure this out. Someday.

Anyone got any suggestions on software that can make the quality of your JPG crappier so that it'll become a smaller file?

if you have a pc, you can do it with paint. you can also do it on flickr.

Post it and I may be able to make it smaller with photoshop.

convert it to gif? i've heard that works.

That was very painful because the first time round I had photoshop on an apple mac and this time I have paint. But still. Here I am.

Fine, but I'm retiring Pyramid Head.

Since a year later I'm still figuring out my Mac, this was much easier with Photoshop on a PC.

I used to be able to resize with flickr but now they come back as file size too big. I fork around in photoshop until it works. I also have a bunch of saved ones that I rotate. I'll have to try that gif thing all the kids are doing these days.

On a mac you just need to get any picture you want, move it onto your computer, go to 'tools', then 'adjust size' & enter the dimensions you want, I think 100 x 140's the largest size for a PPK avatar. As long as you tick the 'size proportionately' box it wont go all weird and stretched!

Do a google search and try to find a thread you posted in so you can get the cached version and right click on the pic that way?

FYI: I didn't mean for that question mark to make it sound like "well, did you try the obvious?" I put that question mark in because I'm not sure if that would work.

Ok, that much doesn't sound too bad. Maybe I'll start searching for an image I like. Anyone got any advice on good places to look?
