anyone else really sad about this? I've had my eye out for it at Food Fight! the past few times I've been in, and just figured it was out for a while, or that they were pushing a new local brand. sadly, I did some googling and it was confirmed on quarrygirl that it's lost US distribution http://www.quarrygirl.com/2010/12/14/sa ... ed-states/

I thought cheezly was the vegan cheese that best captured the 'aged' flavor, and while it was an expensive, sporadic treat in my life, I miss it so.

if anyone hears any update, please share!

I'm really bummed, it's my favorite kind of cheese. I'll be watching for updates too.

Updates! Pandacookie is currently hiding in the cargo hold of a plane bound for London and will return with a flat of Cheezly and will then sit in a big pile of bacon Cheezly glory and make grilled Cheezly sandwiches until she dies.

Noooo...

I was wondering why the grocery store near me didn't have it any more. I thought pangea had it last time I went but definitely none on their website any more :(

Its not that I really eat vegan cheese but I'd like to have the option!

You could try writing to Heather Mills - I believe she owns Redwood these days. (Quickly hides block of newly purchased Super Melting Mozzarella Style...*whistles*)

I bought some Bacon Cheddar back from Vienna, and it really is quite spectacular.

I'm so sad about this. Cheezly is the only vegan cheeze that I particularly like, because you can just eat that shiitake straight up on crackers. Fork melty cheeze, I could care less about that stuff.

It's the only vegan cheese I think is really worth the bother. I hope they're looking for a new distributor!

Interobang?! and Fezza be over to my house with a cargo ship full in about a week. I will sell it on the black market for mad profits. Panda will handle internet sales. Profits will go to hiring JohnP and Kittee to come and cook for me.

Excellent plan.

You know... i'm pretty sure Baps said that she shipped Cheezly to the US via 2-day courier and it was cheaper (and better) than normal post. I owe you for cookies. I might could hook you up f'realz...

I am jealous of Asheville's Mellow Mushroom. Ours is awful. You can call right before you go to make sure they have vegan cheese. They say yes. You go and then they don't have it. This has happened multiple times. Argh.

I'm sad about your drought. I have cheezly in the fridge.

But I don't have daiya or an endless supply of chipoltles in adobo sauce. I want both these things.

Totally tragic. We had the Cheezly blue flavor while we were in England, and I swear that it's the closest thing to a real "blue" flavor I've had since going vegan (and I was a BIG fan of blue cheeses back in the day). It's yet another thing that makes me sad to be back in the benighted colonies that I can't get it here. Boo.
