I searched and didn't find a thread for this already, but maybe I'm not good at searching. Sorry if there already is one! Show me your pumpkins!! I carved a pumpkin yesterday, I don't usually like carving them but I was inspired to carve an interrobang into one.

I hope to do mine tonight or tomorrow! I expect it to be epic or a complete failure.

I haven't done mine yet, I was thinking about just painting or drawing on them so I can save their guts for this weekend.

Technically, that's not an interrobang, just a question mark and an exclamation mark. But it's still cool.

I like it! I carved mine a week ago, which I knew was waaaay too early, but it was the only weekend in Oct. my friend was home from school and we always carve pumpkins together. It's already growing mold, so it should look super yummy on Halloween!

I usually carve two or three on Halloween night but this year I thought I would be smart and do it ahead of time. It backfired. The pumpkin I carved Thurs. night is already caving in and I messed up on the one I did last night because I accidentally threw out one of the carving tools the night before. Here is the evidence of my forked up pumpkins. These are my favorite two from a few years back. I cheat with stencils but it's still a lot of work.

I tried to do a Scooby for the kid. I've never been a good pumpkin carver, and I did this with a corn cob holder, an orange peeler and a (never before used) cuticle thing:

Also, I'm definitely going to use a corn cob holder next time appifanie. Thanks for the tips!

Really good jobs, all of you! louzilla wrote: I was carving cupcakes last night... What flavor are they/what filling are you putting in them? They look tasty! I really wanted to do pumpkins this year, but the couple's costumes that my boyfriend and I decided on have been such a clusterfork that we haven't had time to do it. <shrug> Oh well, maybe next year.

Not carving ours until tomorrow. My flatmate's been ill had hasn't been able to/won't be able to go to any parties this Halloween (SUCKS! I throw a fit if I were sick on Halloween...it's my favorite) so I'm staying in with her Sunday afternoon so we can carve the pumpkins that have been taking over our flat. We seriously have so many!
