What's happenin on Halloween?

Anyone, anyone? I'm planning a good costume this year but if there's nowhere to wear it I'll give up now, because I can't be sparing a lot of money for wigs and shoes right now.

I have no idea... I'm so out of the loop now ever since I started having to wake up at 8AM nearly every day. I don't even see my friends as much anymore, because I can't stay out past 11PM most nights anymore. So sad...

If I knew of any good Halloween parties happening, I would totally go - even if I had no costume to wear. I don't have $$ to spare on a costume, so I'd just wear.. um.. a yellow dress and hold both an umbrella and a Morton's salt container. Easy as pie.

i haven't heard of anything really, a couple parties that i am not super interested in.

abbierae and danny will be in town and i know they will want to do something. sadly for me, i work saturday and sunday and have to be up at 5am or 6am each day...

Took the night off to meet the neighborhood kids. I wish we had the $ to decorate, but as long as we give 'good' candy we should make friends.

wimpy kids round here don't brave the dark trip down my lane to my house... seriously..spooky, unlit dirt road to spooky house? Would have been my dream trick or treat ... kids don't wanna get their Nike's muddy though XD

I'm coming from my cube farm (apartments) so I'm so looking forward to meeting actual children! Even Karma (da dog) can't wait!) Whatever do I feed them?

As far as I know, Castro Halloween is still cancelled and chances are there will be barricades and cops everywhere. It's been a police state the last two years.

Yeah, there was a big cranky sign in BART yesterday that said something to the effect of "There is NO Halloween celebration in the Castro. There will be extra police on duty. There will be NO enhanced BART/MUNI service on Halloween. The last train from San Francisco to the East Bay leaves at Midnight on Halloween."

yah, it may not be blessed by the city, but it is still packed with non-Castro folks each year. I typically venture out to see friends at their place and we huddle up and watch movies on Halloween. Sometimes we yell at 1/2-naked cute people from the window. Usually we try to coax them to 1-naked status in the wind and cold.
There seems to be a huge influx of straight-looking thuggy/fratty types equipped with "tall boy" beers, and not very many actual costumes. It is kind of sad, like burning man, but more so.

But hey, at least the erotic exotic thing was cancelled before Richmond got tagged with its lameness (that has plagued Cow Palace & SF for years!)
That was practically a public service!

I have no plans for Sunday but some for Saturday.

After the work costume party, maygles and I might be going to a house party in the haight being held by someone who used to come help at food not bombs. I don't know anyone else there though. I'm guessing it'll be a noisy, costumed, crowded, drunken affair. You're welcome to come if that interests you!

Not sure when we'd get there though... probably lateish unless the work party really sucks.

I have an awesome costume idea but nothing to do. It's a Sunday, so I'll probably just do homework

and bake pumpkin cinnamon rolls

and watch the premier of that zombie show.
