Awesome!
How did your syrup turn out? Can you really taste the pumpkin in it? I've been making a lot of homemade syrups lately and I want to try pumpkin spice, but I'm trying to figure out if it's worth dealing with the pumpkin pulp or if I'm better off doing just a spice syrup.

I'm happy! It's light and I used half a small sugar pie pumpkin, so they weren't too many guts to deal with.

QueenV wrote: The syrup looks lovely. Do you use it just like maple syrup (pancakes / waffles etc) and add to savoury dishes containing pumpkin for a little lift too? I think it'll largely be for drink mixing and things that need a little sweetener - like roasted nuts, granola, - you could easily use more pumpkin and go for those things, though!

Pumpkin is totally the only thing I can think of this time of year too! Pumpkin everything! Pumpkin waffles, pumpkin beer, pumpkin soup, pumpkin ice cream! And pie! Now I feel the need to make syrup...

Smoky, noochy pumpkin seeds would really hit the spot right now.
