For anybody who lives in Western Mass or is willing to make a trek into the Springfield area, a one-act I wrote is going up in a few weeks as part of the Drama Studio's Winter Shorts Festival. This means that there'll be two other plays performed along with it that are probably more kid-oriented (there's some crazy fairy play with 30+ little kids). If anyone wants to make a meetup out of a matinee or see an evening show and do something beforehand, that would be awesome too! It opens Friday, January 28th with performances on Saturday and Sunday (oh, there's going to be a "talk back" thing on Sunday where the playwrights and actors talk about stuff and adults who really like to hear themselves talk give long-winded analysis). It's about Tortilla Rita.

That sounds awesome! I don't think I'll be able to make it out to Western Mass. that weekend, but if my plans change I'll definitely give it a go.

There's only like 60 seats, so calling ahead for tickets is a good idea.

Poop. It looks like we probably won't make it this weekend after all. Stuff keeps coming up, and now I just heard that a friend's dad passed away; they're sitting shiv'ah on Sunday, and she was there for both of my parents' calling hours and funerals, so I need to show my face. Tell Rita to break a leg, and if there's a tape, I want one!
