I have waterproof hiking shoes on, but if some of that cold puddlewater gets inside my shoe I'm entering a world of ick.

I wore my high snow boots today and I'm glad I did. Because there are huge piles of snowy wet slush to walk over and through.
And It's snowing again......

Somehow I forgot there would still be snow on the ground, keeping me from really getting anywhere. So much for the makeup class, and the other class I had today. Grrr.

A kid I went to high school with just died last night in a car wreck in Detroit. And I really really need you not to die.

I didn't die! I may be impatient, but my car is pretty bad in the snow so I couldn't really be reckless even if I wanted to.
I went to the park tonight and found a sled to use, so I'm pro-snow this evening. But I will be anti-snow again on Monday. I'm amazed at how shitty the roads in West Philly still are. Even Baltimore Ave is kind of a mess.

I really need to do laundry. The laundromat it literally around the corner, but the sidewalks and intersections are so slushy and horrible I can't get my little cart thing there. I am annoyed.

Thanks to carolawesome's bf, I'll be on the news tonight showing how hard it is to get around in the snow in a wheelchair. It's Fox. They told me maybe 6 or 10 tonight, definitely on the morning show tomorrow. I don't have a tv so I probably won't see it! Check it out if you're curious.

Are you guys ready for this week's storm? Cause I'm not. Seriously, my classes only meet once a week each for three hours, and I don't want to have to take them again.

I was trying not to acknowledge it. Emphatically do not want more snow. I really can't afford to miss anymore work.
Although now that I'm looking at the weather, it seems like we're in for more sleet/freezing rain than snow.

Rain, no snow. Maybe another hard candy ice shell around my car.

It's a wonder - and for so many reasons - why anyone lives below North Carolina. Frankly, Philly is south-enough for me. Really, Philly gets so disgusting in the summer that I can't imagine ever living anywhere hotter. I could only ever go north. Yeah. Never move to NC. Ever. It's the worst. It was hot as hell for 4-5 months non-stop.

For some reason I decided it was a great idea to walk to my poetry workshop today, wearing Converse.
I have boots. I have perfectly good waterproof boots.
WHY did I choose to wear canvas shoes? I mean, really now.
